I know every now and then we get threads talking about the fads that we all hated. But all being teenagers either now or once I'm sure we've all indulged in a fad or two that seemed sooooooo very cool at the time.
Well, I know when I was in high school around 05, army fatigues were a big thing in the hip hop/black community. Yeah I used to come to school decked out in my black, white , and grey cammo. I look back at it now and am fully convinced that I looked like a tool.

Was a total goth/cyber punk in high school. Had my liberty spike's coming through my football helmet and stuff like that.

TBH, there was a big hair dying fad at my Job Corps site.
My hair went from blond to orange. I was quite miserable, because I had to shave my head, which is rougly shaped like a really deformed potato.

Exco (stupid brand sold at Stiches) was big at my school in Grade 7-8, where pretty much EVERYONE wore it..including me.

Actually, for me I do the opposite of what people do. That, in-it-of-itself, is a fad as well.

Slap bracelets. Remember those? Seriously...you had to bring back the horror. Next someone will mention pogs and I'll just go shoot someone.

Slap bracelets. Remember those? Guilty. I had like 20 of those at my worst. I was also into pogs, which was one of the lamest things I have ever had the misfortune of coming across. My getting into a fad was pretty much a clear sign that the novelty had worn off. That's right, I was the @$$#ole who began participating like the day it ended. Now I do my own ricockulous stuff like wearing a lot of hair ties on my wrists and ankles. Hey, you never know when one is going to snap.
