As far as total all time World/WWE title wins?
Triple H has 13, Edge has 8, more than even Hogan/Rock/Austin/etc.
I love Edge's character though, he's like the ultimate lawyer-wrestler, in that he's an opportunist, taking advantage of any little loophole he can find.

I think Angle has more than him. I'm pretty sure Angle has 5. -WWF No Mercy 2000 -WWF Unforgiven 2001 -WWE Armageddon 2002 -WWE Vengeance 2003 -WWE SmackDown! in early 2006 (winning the World Heavyweight Title) Or you could count 6, since he won the WCW Title within WWF in 2001.

He faced countless world champions, and guys in the main event but nobody figured WWE would consider him for heavyweight champion, not even a day.

I have been a fan of Edge's for a long time. It is quite remarkable that he worked his way from a Brood Member, to tag team success, to mid carder, to a top Superstar in the WWE. Amazing.

If there is one person in the WWE right now that has paid their dues and worked their ass of to get to where they are, it's Edge. He's been there for a long damn time, and only started winning major singles championships around his 7th year, which, by today's standards, is a long time to wait.

I'm getting sick of Edge getting jammed down are throats. He's in the main event scene WAY to much. At least Cena had that mini feud with JBL a couple months back which kept him out of the main event scene.

I am pretty sure they are talking about his WWE title wins and if that is the case yes Edge is in second place right after HHH because of WWE wins if you are just counting World Title wins then Rock would be ahead of Edge with 7 wwe title wins and 2 WCW title wins.

Ya, edge has worked his way up and deserves it. I always saw Edge as an eventual worl champion around this time. In 2004 and 2005 it was only a matter of time until he was champion. I remember in 2004 going nuts when he almost won the world title in that triple threat with Benoit. I would parallel Edge's rise to fame with Jeff Hardy's. They didn't give eitehr guy the strap until they were full out main eventers

Doesn't Flair have 22 title reigns in total, including non-recognized reigns?

He means WWE Championships only.
And yes Flair does have about 25.
However Lawler wins with like 120 Championship reigns.

Edge is the best thing going today. I love how there have been so many times I have looked at the WWE web site the day after a ppv, not knowing what had happened, only to see how Edge did it again!
