New Custom (8/15/2010): "The Franchise" Shane Douglas: This figure is not available. Check my site for available customs (theaxehennig.blogspot.com). My girlfriend and I met Shane Douglas today at a local signing. He is truly a class act. He loved the figure I made of him, and asked how to get more made. We also talked about his new promotion (WCCP??), which will be based out of Los Angeles. He said it will be a mixture of ECW and UFC styles (which should be interesting). He told me TNA contacted him about "Hardcore Justice," and kept it professional when discussing what they offered him monetarily, his dislike for Dixie Carter and TNA, and his career. Douglas was truly a "nice guy." I commented on how I made my girlfriend watch his promo when he threw down the NWA title, and declared himself as the ECW champion (youtube "Shane Douglas throws down NWA title" if you have no idea what I'm talking about. It's monumental in wrestling history). All in all, this man was awesome. "The Franchise" and "TheAxeHennig"....well, the arm of "Axe."  The signed promo:  |

Man, that's freakin awesome! Glad to hear he was a great guy at the meet. Even cooler he liked the figure. Hopefully he'll order some from you and get your name out to some guys.
Figure looks great. Definitely one of the better Shane's posted on this board.

Thanks Gonzo. I had no clue what head to use, but hey, I think it turned out well. He commented that he still talks to Sunny (who I will be meeting in two weeks), Funk, Dreamer, etc. on a regular basis, and told me to post the photo of the figure on his facebook.

Very cool you got t bring that figure to Franchise as well as meet him. Shane is the man, hopefully I get to meet him some day too. Nice work on the figure, head works pretty well and everything is nice and clean.

Great work Axe ive been waiting to see the finished pics since you posted about in the Custom discussion thread and I love the skin tone and the scan they look great
Douglas sound like a really nice guy and I hope u had a great time

Glad to see some new stuff from you. That custom of your brother you posted in the discussion thread looked really good. As do these Stings. Only complaint, cause they are both just repaints, is that I wish you would have added the buckles and straps to the boots. Not a big deal though, just me being anal, haha.
Great job nontheless, both look flawless.

Yeah, not really diggin the Morgan head, but like you said . . . . what would ya use? The rest of the Shane fig looks incredible.
The paint on those two Stings is flawless as well! Very nice!
