i have a few questions THEAXEHENNIG - what brand paint do you use - how do you make your figures shiny and the paint not come off - how do you make the paint grainy (what it looks in the pictures) makes it look real - how do you make the tattoos - and how do you make your sculpted clay not disform... To answer your questions, 1. I use Testors “Model Masters” Acrylic paint. 2. The paint’s luster is achieved by using semi-gloss for certain parts (i.e. tights, skin tone, etc.), gloss for boots, and flat for certain parts (such as hair, pants, and other parts). 3. The paint is grainy probably due to either the photos, or Mattel’s plastic texture. 4. For tattoos, I draw them first (lightly) with a pencil. Then I use a thin brush (10/0) to outline the tattoo. For color, I use skin tone mixed with green and gray. This gives the blended look that old tattoos have. I use a lighter color (just mix the previous paint with skin tone) for inner-details of the tattoo. 5. The sculpted clay is thick, so it won’t deform. I use Aves Apoxie (air-dry), smooth with my finger and water, and use sculpting tools to give texture and depth. It sounds like you’re new to customizing. My best advice is to try multiple things and see what works for you. Keep at it!

the ECW repaint of Bam Bam looks great, kinda wished mattel released this version instead now. Again...I am not familiar with the Gangstas, but they look top notch in quality. Great job on them!

The nWo Macho Man ist something i´ll definitely try in the future! Great work on him.
My only complaint on Hogan is the area where the hair touches the neck. I really love this Hogan custom! You did a tremendous job on the lightnings on his tights and the boots design.
I wonder if he has the accurate height compared to other Mattels since i´m very interested in making one for my own collection. What parts did you use for him?
Keep on customizing my friend!

Phenomenal KING- Thanks for the kind words. I'm still brainstoriming RVD's attire. Any suggestions?
Deepfreeze- Thanks for the comments. Hogan's height is one inch shorter than Koslov (the Elite body I used), so I cut a little off the ankle and molded the ankle joint back on). I used Koslov's body and Bulldog boots. I appreciate the comments.
Rated R, Twiztid Kid, PJM- Thank you, gentlemen.
Zombie- Thanks for the comments. I'm officially finished customizing Jakks (unless I get an order from a friend). Thanks again.
Stinger- Thanks man!
Big Tel and DBK- I appreciate the comments.
Mikey- Keep at it. If you need any advice, message me. Thanks!
Nick- Thanks for the comments, bro. Any advice on an RVD attire?
