I'm generally not a "Mattel person", but good Lord, Axe. The use of shrunken Jakks heads have resulted in some freakin' awesome customs! Do you mind saying how you went about resizing them - was it that Hydroshrink stuff?
Just jaw-dropping stuff, man.

Thanks for the comments. I picked the casts up from Wars, then recasted them myself.

TheAxeHennig made the right decision. However I feel his reputation with the board will forever be smeared with his exit. But he does amazing work and hopefully he will return at some point.

meh... who cares.... i dont know why people pay hundreds for his customs when he glues the heads on sometimes, doesnt paint the whole joint and the paint chips anyhow.
if his figures were playable or even always poseable without seeing the mattel paint colors beneath then his figs would be worth the price they sell for

His figure weren't worth what he was asking for them. He made a big deal over nothing and acted like an immature little brat, I won't miss him.

His figure weren't worth what he was asking for them. He made a big deal over nothing and acted like an immature little brat, I won't miss him. His figures are worth whatever they fetch on the open market. I love how the peanut gallery pops up to bash him and his work after he's gone. His work stands alone--his leaving doesn't diminish what he created. To the other customizers tearing his work down, just know that you aren't building yourself up in the end. You're just "lowering" yourself to doing what you accuse Axe of doing, being petty and immature. Enjoy his work, or don't...but stop the bashing. Wars

I liked Axe and I LOVED his work...However his attitude the past month or so seemed "different" to me. It made me wonder if maybe he was having problems in his personal life. While I may or may not agree with the fuss that went on in the Fix Up thread, I do hope that Axe returns one day as I did love looking at his customs.
