for me its Austin vs Undertaker.as many of you know Im a huge Austin mark but the build to this was excellent.

Bret vs. Owen, by far. It was my first PPV I attended with my Dad and it was an incredible five star match, possibly the best cage match of all time.

I think the storyline behind Bret/Taker was awesome, and it really felt like the only time in history a wrestler was winning the belt " for his country". Well...Hogan beating Slaughter as well, so lets say a non-US wrestler, haha.
The match itself was great and it was cool to see Bret with the strap, draped in the Canadian flag.

i picked hart vs. hart however austin/taker had such an unbelivable build up at the time and 98 was mu first ppv i ever watched

Taker vs Hart. I would have went Hart vs Hart but since it wasn't really the main event I didn't go for that.

Yeah, I don't care if Owen/Bret wasn't the official main event of the show, because it is my favorite of the matches listed in the poll.
A nostalgia favorite of mine would be Luger/Yoko from the year before, even if it has a mind-boggling finish.
Austin/'Taker had tremendous build-up, but the match itself wasn't much to speak of, from what I remember. I liked the '96 and '97 main events, too, but neither are favorites of mine.

probably Bret vs. Undertaker with HBK as the special referee - there was huge amounts on tension in that match and I coudln't believe HBK blasted taker in the face by mistake!

Acidently voted for 98, but loved the 96 M.E. I loved it when Jim Cornette kept on restarting the match, becuase of Shawn getting DQ'ed. But finally Shawn gets the pinfall, shame though becuase I would of loved a Vader run as WWF champ.

You know, I have not watched that match since the PPV happened. I know the match is awful, but at the time, I was 8 years old and I loved it. I don't want to ruin the memory, haha. |

man I had super memories of that match.I was 14 and loved it......I think it was my last year as a wrestling innocent.I started to cop on a bit in 95 ;D
the whole thing with the shining Urn was awful.....it was ages before the real UT appeared

98 By far for me. Undertaker vs Stone Cold was great and it was the first PPV I ever ordered.
