Ive just watched that match on dvd and ive noticed how much theyve changed, granted the match was nearly 7 years ago,
Kurt Angle has became physically better in those 7 years where as Mysterio has become physically worse during those 7 years imo

angle is pretty healthy now, i don't know why people still question his well being.
and mysterio's knees just slowly broke down. that's the cost of constant high impact maneuvers.

that was a pretty good match if I remember correctly.
Angles reduced schedule has helped him out no end-thats for sure but by the time he left WWE he was a friggin wreck.
Rey worked through too many injuries-against Edge at NWO last year for instance........hs bicep was rolled halfway up his arm and he still went out there.

That was a killer match. Angle had never really mixed it up in a high profile match with a Cruiserweight before, and he adapted to Mysterio's offense like a pro. Not to mention it was Rey's first WWE PPV match, and even though he lost, he came out looking like a million bucks.

The build-up, where Rey pinned Angle in a tag match, was also good. "I just got pinned by a freakin' twelve year old!"
