Rick Demon Defeated
Jason Williams in 5:31 with the Fisherman DDT. Rick Demon is the younger brother of RRW owner Trace ‘Rated R’ Demon, and it looks like he has just as much talent as Trace. The match was okay, but Williams didn’t impress anyone, and Demon, being as green as he is, couldn’t be relied upon to carry this to a good rating. *1/2
Main Show:-- Prior to the match Haz grabbed a microphone and talked about how last week Trace Demon stopped him from ‘purifying Jason Star of his sin’. Haz then declared that he knows Demon still shares the same views on humanity as when they used to ‘run together’ as the Age of the Fall, and that Demon is going to have to make a choice – he’s either with Haz or he’s with the sinners. --

Haz & Checkmate Defeated
Trace Demon & The New Age Lady Killers in 12:30 when Haz made Daniel Sinn tap to the Guillotine Choke. A great six man tag match to kick off the main show action. Sinn was actually trained by Trace, and this is what Haz used to prove his point, spending every chance he got trying to injure Sinn. The ending of the match came when Demon was brawling with Rook outside the ring, not noticing Haz locking in the submission move on Sinn.
-- After the match Trace ran Haz out of the ring, and brutally attacked Leon Knight with Haz’s own spike. Trace had to be pulled off of Knight by Drew Parkland, and everyone in attendance, including myself, was shocked at the amount of blood. Trace had this sick grin on his face, seemingly transfixed with the broken body of Knight. --

RRW World Championship Tournament – Semi Final Match:
Henry Edwards Defeated
Duan Sanchez Jr. in 14:21 with the Flying Lariat. A great match, but there were certainly some people in the crowd around me talking about Sanchez being off his game. Edwards was certainly more impressive, but the match was very back and forth in terms of offence, and there were times that either man could have picked up the win. The ending stretch saw Sanchez miss a moonsault attempt, before Edwards connected with the Flying Lariat from the second rope for the win. ***1/2
3)
RRW World Championship Tournament – Semi Final Match:
Ken Slayer Defeated
Jason Star in 22:03 with the Double Knee Facebreaker. This just screamed MOTYC to me, and the DVD is worth buying just for this match. These two tore the house down with some incredible back and forth action. The match was very technical to start with, but as the match went on Slayer resorted more and more to his stiff offence, while Star began taking more risks with some really dangerous looking spots. The ending stretch saw several near pinfalls, and even saw Slayer kick out of a Bridged back suplex before connecting with the Double Knee Facebreaker for the win, which confirms that Ricky Slayer will face Henry Edwards for the RRW World Championship later tonight. *****
4)
Krusher Krushchov Defeated
Cameron Stone in 7:32 with a Spinning Brainbuster. This match was a lot better than the Krusher/ Bennet match we had last night, and that was mainly down to Stone actually being able to get in a lot of offence on the big man from Russian. Krushchov dominated lengthy periods of the match, only for Stone to keep having bursts of strikes and quick grapples, but in the end Krushchov claimed another victim. ***
5)
Evan Pagano Defeated
Chris Hammers in 14:36 with the Superkick. This was another great match, but Hammers really cant compete at a main event level anymore, he’d be better suited to the midcard of tag team ranks. None the less Pagano definitely made this worth watching, and is one of the most entertaining wrestler on the roster, hitting some spectacular moves, although at times it was difficult to tell if he’s meant to be working as a heel or a face. The match was given the right amount of time, and the ending saw Pagano connect with the Superkick out of nowhere for the win. ***1/2

RRW World Championship Match: Ken Slayer Defeated
Henry Edwards in 28:42 with the Double Knee Facebreaker to become the first champion. Now this was an incredible main event, and the ideal way to crown the first RRW World Champion. It would have been another MOTYC if these two had been fresh, but there were obvious signs of fatigue from both men, especially as the match went on. The opening minutes of the match saw Edwards attempting to feel Slayer out, but Slayer was having none of it, and went straight for Edwards with some really stiff elbows. The entire match was very much like this, with Edwards focusing on working away at Slayers right arm while Slayer just attempted to knock Edwards out. Edwards looked like he had the match won when he connected with the Flying Lariat, but Slayer kicked out. The endings stretch saw Slayer connecting with that big top rope Kneedrop but Edwards rolled through an attempted pinfall and locked in the armbar. Slayer powered out, and with both men pretty much out if it Slayer came to first and connected with the Double Knee Facebreaker for the win in what was an epic match. ****1/2
-- Ken Slayer was handed the RRW World Championship as several members of the roster entered the ring to celebrate with him. Slayer however pushed past them and walked up the ramp, taunting everyone with his newly won title.
Final Thoughts: This is a must buy DVD for any wrestling fan, new or old. The Slayer/ Star match is what wrestling is all about, and the main event was a superb way to name the first ever champion.
