Monty Brown was awesome. What makes that promo even better was the fact that it was non-scripted and probably off the top of his head.
I don't know why but I burst out laughing when the camera cuts to the right and you see Tenay talking/back f Monty.

Steiner's promos on Joe are much funnier . Steiner has them written for him (although he could have some input) and they are planned over a week. With Monty, everyone had to evacuate the building. And they needed to kill time, so they sent arguably their best promo guy to kill time off the top of his head. |

Everyone had to evacuate the building due to a potential fire. So, they were finding ways to kill time. One of them was by throwing Monty out there on a live microphone, because they knew he would be able to do it because he was (arguably) their best promo guy. |

I never was much of a fan. The only thing I liked was when he would say POOOOOOUUUUNCE! Haha.
Other than that he was pretty boring. And most of his matches were squash matches. Come to think of it, I think most of his in ECW were too.

Monty was a flash in the pan. He was great for a little bit because he was different than the guys in TNA at the time but they have a great roster now and just need a new creative team.
