Although there is no word yet on Chris Jericho's opponent at the WrestleMania 25 PPV, apparently Vince McMahon has a major name in mind and that person is being kept as a huge secret.
We can probably rule out Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestling Jericho because he has told his close friends that he isn't wrestling at the biggest event of the year and he probably wouldn't be lying.
Hulk Hogan is still a huge possibility. A few days back, Hogan mentioned that he talked to Vince McMahon and said that he was opening to doing something at the event. When Vince McMahon originally called him up, Hogan mentioned that he was a physical mess and probably wouldn't be able to do the match. Of course, as everything, this can always change.
Another possibility is the voice of Monday Night RAW, Jerry "The King" Lawler. He has never been in a WrestleMania match and at the age of 49, Vince could end up slotting him into the match. They probably are having him as a back-up plan, though.
Mickey Rourke will be at the event but you can rule him out as one of Jericho's possible opponents as WWE haven't even mentioned him much on their programming the past two weeks.

I would not mind a Jerry Lawler vs Chris Jericho match, both great workers. I don't know if that would fit the Wrestlemania feel, but I wouldn't mind. Lawler wouldnt be my first pick to face Jericho, but I can't hate on that idea.

I think the sheets need to shut up and stop repeating themselves about who they think Jericho will face.

I was talking with my friend a while back and he pointed out something to me. Let me start off by saying I don't want this happening but I think it might ...... here goes :
After a few weeks of berating legends .... Ric Flair has had enough and decide to challenge Y2J to a match at Wrestlemania.
During Wrestlemania (backstage) .... Y2J attacks Ric before their match ..... make his way to the ring and waits for Flair.
Obviously Flair can't wrestle ..... so the music hits ..... he's back to defend Flair's honor (remember the HBK storyline after last year's Wrestlemania) ..... the Animal Batista !!!!!!!!
*** If you look at the Axxess superstars ..... both Flair and Batista are schedule to be there .... and Batista did recently say in an interview that he could be ready for Wrestlemania ***
Do I want to happen ?? HELL NO Do I think it will happend ?? Maybe !!!!!

Could The Rock be considered enough of a legend to face Y2J?

He'll be facing the greatest legend of all time, I can already hear the fans chanting his name as he makes his entrance from the back, surrounded by security..."GILLBERG.GILLBERG.GILLBERG"

He'll probably face Hulk Hogan, with Mickey Rourke interfearing and helping Hulk. IMO it's a huge shame if they manage to get Hogan to wrestle at Wrestlemania, and don't even have him face John Cena.

I am positive Chris Jericho vs Hulk Hogan with Mickey Rourke as the special guest referee is happening.

Lawler wouldnt be my first pick to face Jericho, but I can't hate on that idea. Ditto. It's cool for Lawler, and fits the angle, but I would think Lawler would be more a match for Raw. Of course, Jericho would win this match as opposed to maybe facing Flair or Hogan.

No offense to any of the legends but I wish they'd give Jericho some real competition for the biggest WWE event of the year. I personally think this whole storyline sucks.
However, it was nice seeing Piper and Steamboat. Piper's speech was awesome...very heartfelt.
