Hey all;
Since this is a forum to talk about the Jakks Line. I thought that I would be the 1st to throw my name in the hat and see where we all stand on when Jakks will end the line?
So I guess my question to all of you is. What month in this years of 2009 will Jakks stop making all figures (new figures)? And what are you thoughts on how Jakks did making there figures in all lines?
We all know it's going to end here this year. Saddly, but it will happen. I believe Jakks has thus far done the best out of all the companies that have made WWE/F figures. Such as Hasbro, LJN, Justoys, Playmates, and anyone else that made figures or items.
I like everyone else, was in love with the Classic Line. That is what keep my collecting. When months before they were making weapon packs that had Slime that smelled like bad water or tar. What the hell?
I was not a fan of the R3 Tech figures, but looking back on them. I would have brought them all. Now that there heads work with a RA/CS figure. Jakks has made alot of figures/lines that were not my taste. However, the TTL line and the RA line is my best lines that came out with. I did love the BCA 1st series. I didn't like the $1 store BCA figures.
Over all I believe they did a great job, in a time were near the end they were sued by WWE over some junk. They still put out a good figure. They have done some halfass things like not painting the back of a figure's tights or not giving us alot of protos that were going to be made.
This is my call on when the line will end. Since Jakks is getting a CS series out each month now. And we are in March and on Series 23. I would say that it will end around Sept or Oct. If they say they are only going to CS28 it would seems it will end in August or Sept. I don't think that Jakks will be releasing all new figures in Dec. I believe they will be going full force on the UFC line as we all saw at the last Toyfair. Which pissed us all off. And what happen to the American Gladiator figures? I guess that was dropped too since the show is now gone.
I believe that to the end of the year, when jakks stops making new figures. We are going to get alot of re-releases. Tons of Best of series. Lot of figures on sale. And alot of rumors about figures that was/were going to be made. Just like all the Hasbro figures (orange card series) and LJN figures (smash and others) of wrestlers.
I will say about the TNA figures. If they are RA style I will get them, if not. I will be done buying. I believe that Mattel is going to not make the figures as great as Jakks did for WWE.
what are your thoughts?
