Nice Hassan fixup. It's funny, back in the day, he won the US Title in my fed, and threw it in the trash, vacating the title, saying it was racist blah blah blah. Good stuff, I thought about bringing him back in my fed, still might.

No kidding, his gimmick from the initial jump was genius. He just became more of your traditional 'foreign' heel gimmick, partly because the audience couldn't understand his "I'm-an-American-unhappy-with-my-country" angle, and partly because of the "terrorist" overtones his character displayed that the WWE were happy to exploit. That led to his dismissal, accompanied by bad timing (the London bombing). It's just a shame, because he was groomed to go over the Undertaker, and then beat Batista for the WWE title at SummerSlam. |
