Concerns with Mattel.

I felt the need to lay down some of my main concerns with Mattel and wwe.

1.) Jakks has a wide range of molds. Despite the deluxe aggression line, I feel jakks has a mold for just about every body type. The ruthless aggression line is full of great molds different arm types, legs, and even real cloth accessory's. I do collect a couple of Mattel's figure. And out side the dark knight line with was pretty good, Mattel figures have 1 or 2 molds. Aqua man, superman, batman, flash, any of them all have the same exact mold. This dc universe line is really weak in my option, and I'm afraid this is the same kinda molds and joints and such we will receive in the WWE line. Also I dont get the hype of the four horsemen. Again the molds are all the same, the heads are ok... but they are primarily sculpting comic characters heads. With many kinds of looks and many styles for one person. I dont feel they are all that great.

2.) If your a moc collector of for only display this may not affect you. But for me who still likes to slam is figures around, paint application is very important. Jakks has pretty much always used the primary color of the figure for the plastic mold. For instants if the figure has no shirt, the figures plastic is skin tone. Or if the tights or pants are blue, the plastic is also blue. This is important because of paint chipping and even paint flaws. On the Mattel line most figures are either painted to the correct color on black plastic leaving room for alot of error, of it has a kinda wash look? I feel it does not look good and leaves for alot off flaws.

3.) Scale!!!!!!! I know iv been threw bone crunchers, TTL, RA, and now I collect ruthless aggression. All of them did have different scales, however it was the evolution of these figures that has given us the great figures of today. also this is the longest running mold type jakks has given us and in my option the best. Also we had finally gotten classic wrestlers!!! A line totally pointed at the legends we all have come to love. I'm afraid that when Mattel gets control, we loses this great victory. I mean right now john cena can wrestle Andre the giant if you want. Even if Mattel keeps the same scale, they will not be the exact same. and that plain sucks.


I know there is nothing I can do. Our fates are sealed. But I hope Mattel looks at the successes of jakks wwe line. And if not imitate it down right copy it. Because wrestling figs as we know are changing.
