The Undisputed Wrestling Figuration went on hiatus after their second show in January but kept things running behind the scenes! There were some MAJOR changes made to storylines and to the talent roster after news of superstars' money disappearing in the wake of the recession. UWF Chairman Vince McMahon was forced to hire new talent and regroup before the first UWF PPV "All Out War".
In the months leading up to the blockbuster event, Triple H captured the UWF Title in a match with The Rock. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the first to challenge Triple H for his newly won title and fought off many foes put before him by Vince McMahon who seemed to be on a personal vendetta to keep Austin away from the title. After defeating the Big Show in a Cage Match, Austin earned his match with HHH at "All Out War."
McMahon, still determined to keep the belt off of his old arch nemesis, hired one man that he thought would be just dumb enough to sell his soul. Mankind, in exchange for a UWF Title Match, signed on to be the special guest "enforcer" of the historic UWF Title bout between Triple H (The Champ) and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
