Always fun to remember these. The pre-Kane Glen Jacobs vs. Sting match on youtube inspired me to make this thread. What are some matches that occured in the past that would be a rather big deal these days? Preferibly matches that we haven't seen since.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Triple H - Capital Carnage 1998
The battle of future company men!
Jeff Jarrett vs. Bradshaw - No Way Out 1998
Okay so it's not that great, but it would main event a TNA PPV.
Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton - Smackdown Fall 2002
The Legend Killer gets squashed! Orton also had a squash title match against Taker in the early summer of that year, but since we ended up getting that match later on it gets disregarded here.
The Rock vs. Jeff Hardy - RAW Spring 2003
If I recall correctly this was Jeff's last televised match before leaving WWE. It was pretty much just a Rock squash but today it'd be a Main Event in any arena!

i sw a match a couple of years ago it was RVD vs. Christopher Daniels from the 90's...i think that would have been a huge match in 06 if not now

I'm glad this is gonna be on the Savage DVD...
Randy Savage and Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. Think what came from THAT, Flair vs. Bret for the title a year later, Bret vs. Michaels that culminated in the Montreal Screwjob, and Michaels retiring Flair.

I can't remember who was wrestling, but it works with the topic. It wasn't relevant at the time but because it was during the match, if they have the clip on the upcoming Rise and Fall of WCW DVD, those two wrestlers will be shown wrestling. woot. |

There was a Fatal-Four Way match back in 2001-2002 on Smackdown! Beniot v. Angle v. Edge v. Guerrero, before any of them became World Champion. Only two of them are still alive, and only one of them is still in WWE.
It was an incredible match, and I have a feeling that people would pay to see it again, if that were possible.
EDIT: Also...
WrestleMania V: Mr. Perfect vs. The Blue Blazer (Owen Hart)
The Rock v. Triple H in a KOTR Quarterfinal match in 1998.
Jericho v. Edge KOTR 2nd Round in 2000. (this entire tournament was full of good matches. Jeff Hardy pinned Christian in less than two minutes in the first round. This match would go twenty to twenty-five minutes on a PPV, today.)
