The guy is the best heel the WWE has had in 10 years. His promos are actually entertaining. His matches are getting better and he is much better at telling a story during his matches for awhile his restholds were pretty much the majority of his match. But now he is learning really how to play the ultimate heel, not just on the mic but during his match. I think we need a "Edge- Ready for the top or Overrated" thread. Because I still don't get the hype behind the guy. I think he is a good in-ring worker but the best heel right now? Not even close. That would belong to Chris Jericho and Randy Orton. Really? I don't know....Edge really fires up the crowd with ease...whether or not it's in a promo or wrestling. Case in point look at Orton's promo last night. The crowd were doing the "Whats"..usually a sign that their not paying attention to what he's saying.

Every wrestler in history is over-rated according to WF And ready for the top? Shit... he's been in the main event scence since 2004!

He's been ready for a long time now IMO.
Now as far as him and Edge go, I think that he's surpassed Edge in the ring but never will on the mic. Edge has natural charisma that can't be taught but Orton has honed his craft and character. But as far as being a heel and a good wrestler, Orton has it down. And jusgt look at the two. Orton's in amazing shape whereas Edge has been obviously letting go physically. They've both had multiple injuries so that's no excuse.

He's good, but he needs to use more moves in the ring. Headlocks, punches, the RKO and the Punt are basically the only things he does. This promos and heel heat are phenominal, but his in ring ability is a bit lacking.

I find him overrated by WF. Anytime "Voices" seems to play, certain people on here act like they just had sex.

I think he is ready to be the top heel in WWE for many years to come. He has to go over Triple H this Sunday though otherwise his whole push was worthless.

Orton cuts amazing promos sometimes, but you can tell when they aren't scripted like last night's. The promo of him last year pep talking Rhodes and Manu was awesome, the promo last week when he talked about his future actions looking tame gave me goosebumps.
Jericho is the same exact way. His promo on stage last night was meh. But some of his other stuff is flawless. WWE has transitioned into the Cena/Orton age. I'm diggin it.

Randy Orton had killer momentum from Evolution all the way through his feud with Taker. They should have given him the title right after that, but they F***ed it up in 2006-2007. His momentum slowly came back to and now he is ready to explode at Mania and take over the entire company with Legacy. Well deserved IMO.

He has to go over the H this weekend, then and only then will his journey to the darkside be complete !!!! On a side note I think it's funny that there really isn't a face up to par with him. Yeah there is Cena but two people giving robotic promos would BLOW.I would love (let the eye rolling begin ) them to let CM Punk cut loose and have him REALLY pursue Orton awhile and for gods sake let him keep the title awhile without him facing the H 10000 more times. We know they will fight at BACKLASH,but let it end after that.

If he doesn't win at Wrestlemania 25, then there's no point in the Match what so ever. It's his Stage, his time. He's got a faction, everythig behind him he needs to be at the very top.

He's more than ready to be the top heel of Raw. When he won his first WWE title it was way too early for him, which killed the momentem he had. But now Orton is ready, he gets the crowed reaction, he has the tallent to do it.

Not sure if he's "over rated" but I just can't find a way to like the guy. There's just nothing about him that makes me like the guy. I find him to be slow & boring. There were a few instances in his last promo on Monday, where he slurred his words, and messed up. He still has not become entertaining what so ever, on the mic. I find Edge to play a way, way better heel - although, as of late, WWE almost has him acting like a face, in this whole intellectually- disabled love triangle.

No doubt he has improved and is to a degree worth his WM main event spot, but in terms of being the top heel, well he isn't.

Orton is a awesome talent.
I think he's more than ready for his long awaited top spot.
He's the new super heel of the WWE, and I would say that everyone should get ready for a era of dominance from Mr. Orton.
