Well, it's clear that Randy Orton has been pushed as "something special". His push dating back to when he won the title in 1994 has now established him as the top heel of wrestling right now.
And, me thinks he's going to win at Wrestlemania giving him that final rub to place him at the top. However, some feel that Chris Jericho, albiet older, as better natural heel heat. Also, others say that Orton has been shoved down our throat as his mic skills are "ok", but not great.
What do you think? Whilst I think he improved alot from the age of 24, I really don't think he's all that great. His wrestling is better than most no doubt...but his mic skills are so robotic!
What do you think? Are people like me too hard on Orton? I mean, quite frankly i think that Edge is world's better.

i think you meant 2004 for ortons first title win
your right edge is worlds better but orton is a phenominal peice of talent. ask yourself does he deliver in big matches? does he get a great response from the fans? [heat]
he is a great heel but i think edge and also chris jericho are much better

I don't think he's as good as people make him out to be, but he's more than ready to be on top.

and do answer the question, Orton and Legacy are really the only reasons Im still watching WWE. Its something at least I find interesting. I got tired of seeing Cena win all the time and seeing how much hair Michaels and Taker have lost this week

Orton is decent. He needs to work on not being boring in the ring with his constant rest holds and he also has to work on his promos.

To all of your questions, I'd have to say YES. World's better than his Father, that's for sure.

The guy is the best heel the WWE has had in 10 years. His promos are actually entertaining. His matches are getting better and he is much better at telling a story during his matches for awhile his restholds were pretty much the majority of his match. But now he is learning really how to play the ultimate heel, not just on the mic but during his match.
I think we need a "Edge- Ready for the top or Overrated" thread. Because I still don't get the hype behind the guy. I think he is a good in-ring worker but the best heel right now? Not even close. That would belong to Chris Jericho and Randy Orton.

Ive been following his career since his OVW days and he's the best in the biz today. He just gets better w/ every match. His promos are 'robotic" as it fits his gimmick. And he always gets pure heel heat.He dont need Vicki(Edge)or cheap name calling(Jericho)to get over. And he's over as a face and a heel now.I agree w/Sandman,this should be more on if Edge is overated or not,he bores me.

1994?
How did you type that and not catch it?
Well of course he is ready to be at the top.
It's not like he wasn't already there before.
He is a great heel so he should really win the wwe title next.

Yes he is ready. He's a phenomenal talent, amazing mic skills and gets so much heat. Him and Jericho own the heel "division" in WWE.

Totally agree about Edge. He gained most of his heat because of his relationship with Lita and Vickie Guerrero. Orton is a much better heel.

I've been an Orton fan for 6 years and watching him progress as a wrestler and his gimmick has been really good. Ever since 07 between his Cena feud and his title reign, he has been the top heel in WWE, bar none. He's definitely ready, and I'm glad to see WWE has faith in him.
