To ease the current economic costs for everyone involved, TNA will begin shooting 4 weeks of TNA over 3 straight days each month. Thus basically running a PPV in Orlando on the Sunday (with exception of the big 4 PPV's outside of Orlando), then taping iMPACT! on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Thus cutting costs for the talent to fly in and production costs. This way talent will only need to be in Orlando for 4 days a month.
This schedule starts this May with iMPACT! being taped on May 25, 26, 27 (Mon/Tues/Wed). In June they will just run the regular 2 iMPACT! tapings a week (Tues, June 23 and Wed. June 24) due to the June PPV taking place outside of the iMPACT! Zone. In July they will go back to 3 iMPACT! tapings a week again on July 20, 21, 22 (Mon/Tues/Wed).
Just thought I'd let people know if they had vacation trips planed

Since when are they only doing the " Big 4" outside of Orlando again? This year to save money which is a smart thing to do.

Yeah, how said for a company to save money in this day and age. How freaking sad of them. They are trying to save money and yet the spoilers of what happens at their TV shows is going to get even larger. I'm not against saving money but when it comes to the fact that they are drawing some decent ratings even with the spoilers for two weeks worth of tv already out and now they want to make it so that 3 weeks, practically 3/4s of a month of results will be available to the general public. If their ratings drop back down to 1.2 because of this, it might prove to be a tad more detrimental. Though at the same time the thought process could be just that, " hey we get 1.3s without anyone caring about knowing the spoilers so what's another week worth of results" . They will at most be saving what? How will they be saving? They used to tape two times plus the PPVs so that's three times a month correct? What are they doing now? Still doing two tapings worth a month and still a PPV. How does this save them money. Before: tape twice a month, get four weeks of tv out of it Now: tape twice a month, get eight weeks of tapings out of it How does that save money when it comes to flying? All it does is barely cut back on production costs which shouldn't be that much to begin with.

Currently they tape two iMPACTs every two weeks. Meaning their flying talent into Orlando around 2 times a month (depending if there's a PPV). Now, they'll be flying them in 1 time a month. It's going to save them money on top of only four big PPVs on the road. It'll also give them more dates for HS's to make money. It's smart tbh.
I don't think you understand the whole "plan" with the "now: tape twice a month, get eight weeks of tapings out of it" comment". They're taping once a month to get four weeks out of it. The May tapings over the course of 3 days will lead into Slammiversary. The crew wouldn't have another TV event until Slammiversary. They would fly into whereever Slammiversary is, fly into Orlando, tape, fly home. Then back whenever.
They're taping 3 days a month to get four weeks of TV. Meaning instead of being flown in twice (or so) they're flying in one day to tape four weeks of TV.

I've heard the current iMPACT! tapings are chaos with two shows nevermind four.

I've heard the current iMPACT! tapings are chaos with two shows nevermind four. It's not chaos necessarily, it's just poorly organized. They have the line so messed up that it's easy as all hell to line jump without the Security knowing. At Destination X, they were leading us around the rope to form a line, and everyone just cut right under the rope and jumped right in front of us. Basically security flipped out, but did nothing about it in the end, and those people basically got a free spot in line, when we had been waiting hours before them.

If you're doing a pay-per-view, you should be able to draw a live gate. It's stupid that they'll continue to have 75% of their pay-per-views for free. It was okay in 2005. But this is 2009, and they should be able to draw a little bit on the road as far as pay-per-views go.
