he pulled it out at wrestlemania, and you could see the crowd dying even more. Pulling it out at WM and doing it all the time are two different things. Not to mention, that crowd was dead before HHH/Orton even started. You could clearly see people leaving after Undertaker/HBK. you know i have love for you sean and you can love orton and that's fine, but nothing the guy has shown me in the ring impresses me that much. his match against edge from vengenace 04 and cena from summerslam 07 are the two that everybody pull out as examples of his in-ring prowess, and those matches top out at 3 and half stars max because it's a bunch of lying around. like i said i don't specifically dislike orton, hell i was rooting for him at wrestlemania. i just don't think much of his skills. |

Simple fact is that Triple H buries anyone who gets remotely popular. Orton now. Booker T, Scott Steiner, Rob Van Dam, Kane, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho etc. He's a burial machine! .....? How many times has Jeff defeated Triple H? Triple H won a Championship Scramble at Unforgiven including Jeff Hardy. Triple H def. Jeff Hardy at No Mercy 2008. Triple H def. Jeff Hardy at Cyber Sunday 2008. BURIED. It took a triple threat match which included Edge to give Jeff the title. He should have been given it way earlier. |

Fair enough. I think that there's really no way to please everyone with Randy Orton, and I can see why people would find him boring. I do not wish to force him upon anyone. Booker T, while pretty popular, was never the most over superstar at any time. The crowd turned on Scott Steiner during their match in 2003 after weeks of build up with Steiner almost always getting the best of him, Triple H didn't need to do much. The WWE never put any faith in Rob Van Dam for years until 2006, then he blew his chance justifying why WWE never let him run with the ball. Triple H had little to do with that. Kane had been buried by Austin, Rock, and The Undertaker long before his feud with Triple H. Also, Kane has had chances to be at the top, but opted to let someone else get the spot. He buried himself. Jeff Hardy is lucky to get any kind of push after the numerous screw-ups he's had. And he still got to hold the WWE championship despite those screw-ups. Jericho has never been the most over guy, yet has still managed to find success. His last loss to Triple H was what, 7 years ago? I think he's done pretty well since. I love how people say Triple H buries people, yet most of those people always go on to some success after their encounters with him. Burial doesn't mean someone beats you, it means you are never booked to look good ever again. Tommy Dreamer has been buried. Goldust has been buried. Winning World Titles after losing to Triple H does not mean you are buried and almost all of the guys mentioned above went on to World Title/WWE Title reigns afterwards. Back on topic of the thread. Orton has not, nor has he ever been buried. Orton got injured during his previous feud and it probably would have gone on longer with Orton winning it back at some point. But since people love to blindly hate Triple H for "burying" people, despite the fact that their heroes like Austin and Flair are just as guilty of doing the same thing, they label a successful guy like Orton as being buried despite the evidence to the contrary. |

I liked his title runs. And that's it. I don't care what anyone says. I liked them, and nobody is gonna change that. And that's YOUR opinion, too. But just because you openly admit to liking his title reigns does not change the fact that Orton as champion simply does not work. People can hate Triple H all they want, but Randy Orton must be doing something wrong if a guy like Cena can be champion over Triple H while Orton gets the gold so briefly. Yes, that is my opinion, and Orton not working as champ is yours. |

Orton has just been buried too much in general, same with Jericho. To me, they need to give the top heels more leverage because recently all of them just look fully incompetent and weak. I know a heel is supposed to be cowardly, but you're supposed to think they at least maybe COULD possibly beat a top face. HHH has beaten Orton so many times, and so decisively so many times, that there is no reason to ever think Orton could be competition to HHH. Exactly my thoughts, whether it be Orton or Jericho or Edge. They lose all the time in really weak fashion, but when Triple H was heel, he won all the time. Sometimes with or without help or cheating. Thats what really gets me mad about all this |

His second was a failure because Orton didn't do anything for tv ratings, show attendance, or PPV buyrates despite holding the title for over 6 and a half months and facing various other challengers, not only Triple H. Him failing as a champ is not my opinion, there is fact to back it up. My opinion of him is that he's limited in the ring, ranges from mediocre to absolutely terrible on the mic, and looks more like a pissed off fitness model than any kind of threat. See the difference? |

I never thought HHH and Orton had a good program-ever.
Sept 04 to Jan 05 was useless.HHHs encounters with him during DX vs RKO were also stifling-and last year was a snooze too.I always felt these 2 had no chemistry in the ring.
but saying that Im still in awe of what a failure the WM main event between these two was.it ended any interest I had in this feud
I honestly thought Orton was great headed into WM-but he showed none of the extended personality he showed weeks prior........and not ONCE did HHH look like a guy who had his wife beat on TWICE by Orton.
in this case I feel they are both to blame.

As some know I;'m the biggest Orton mark ever and I'm doing a career record book of all his match results and once I get it done I'll show all the win/loss record of Orton v HHH(PPV,tv,house shows),believe me,if this don't show HHH buries Orton nothing will.HHH is afriad of him being more over than he is(which he is)and just like Taker only puts Randy over in gimmick matches(like the last time he jobbed to Randy(the Last Man Standing match at No Mercy) where he dont do a 'real" job.

As some know I;'m the biggest Orton mark ever and I'm doing a career record book of all his match results and once I get it done I'll show all the win/loss record of Orton v HHH(PPV,tv,house shows),believe me,if this don't show HHH buries Orton nothing will.HHH is afriad of him being more over than he is(which he is)and just like Taker only puts Randy over in gimmick matches(like the last time he jobbed to Randy(the Last Man Standing match at No Mercy) where he dont do a 'real" job. Not really anything to be proud of, IYAM... IMO, Orton has always been mediocre - he's just lucky enough to have been born into a wrestling family, and lucky enough to be a third generation wrestler... because - just like Vince said on RAW, if he wasn't, he probably would be working in a gym somewhere in St Louis.. |
