According to Blabbermouth.net Fear Factory has 'reunited' with the following kline-up: Burton C. Bell - Vocals Dino Cazares - Guitar Byron Stroud - Bass Gene Hoglan - Drums
I love Gene Hoglan but I am not pleased. I've never really been a fan of Dino. I much prefer Christian Olde Wolbers.

I'm not, I got my braces removed in the seventh grade. Thanks for the scoop there, Jesus. xoxo

Either way I want some music ASAP because Transgression sucked.

I am so freaking stoked for the Canadian Carange Tour... Megadeth and Slayer on the same stage makes me happy.

I'm not really a metal head, but I listen to Lamb of God occasionally. Good stuff, imo.

=( I love Christian & especially Raymond (he's my favorite drummer ever.) At least Gene is a damn fine drummer.

So a new Suicide Silence tracked leaked, and it's horrible. It's a shame, they were probably the most consistent deathcore band out there. Whitechapel wins for the heaviest though. They stick to their formula and give me more of the same, which is what I want.
Here's some bands to check out you fellers may dig:
Black Metal: Book of Black Earth Wolves in the Throne Room Wormwood Mord
Grind/Punk/Powerviolence influenced: Mumakil Gaza Brutal Truth Insect Warfare
Deathcore/ Death Metal: Corporectomy Cesspool of Vermin Rose Funeral With Dead Hands Rising

Never heard of Suicide Silence until a couple days ago when it was announced they'd be touring with Slayer, Megadeth and Machine Head.

I was into majorly Christian metal and straight edge punk from around 18-21. I don't listen to much music anymore but those are good memories and I'm still sXe today.

'Deathcore' is still the rage, innit? For mine, 'Beneath The Massacre' has to be the heaviest band I've heard in a while; absolutely pummelling. They are great but they don't strike me as 'core per se. More like tech death metal. Anyone here Origin fans?

Only deathcore bands I've ever gotten into are Despised Icon, A Black Rose Burial, and Winds Of Plague.

As for Deathcore, I have no problem with the genre, unless the music is based around nothing but breakdowns or if the vocals are absolute crap like Waking The Cadaver (no offense to anyone who likes the band ).

I enjoy Waking The Cadaver. But, I can totally understand what you mean. I've been obsessed with Gojira lately, they are pretty awesome and unique. I'd say the most original metal bands around today are Meshuggah, Mastodon, Gojira, and Symphony X. Necrophagist too.

I'd like to add Between The Buried And Me, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Protest The Hero, and Dir En Grey to that list.

Anyone into any drone/doom/ambient kind of stuff? Here's a few examples. I'm REALLY into this lately.
