ECW News and Notes:June 6, 2007 Breaking news at this hour. Sabu has been checked into rehab. More on this story as it becomes available. According to Nielsen Media Research, ECW on Sci-Fi drew a 4.5 rating. Obviously, last night’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi had little focus on feuds or storylines. Paul Heyman wanted to give the parting extremists and especially Terry Funk closure. Next week, the rivalries and feuds will continue. Kurt Angle was originally scheduled to win his match last night; however, Kurt Angle had the finish changed to C.M Punk winning. D.H Smith is penciled in for a big push and eventually will form a new Hart Foundation. There are no reports on what John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s major announcement will be next week. I would assume he may name a number one contender for C.M Punk’s ECW Heavyweight Championship. Raven and the Disciples of Apocalypse are going to be off the air for awhile as Paul Heyman has plans on rebuilding them as a dominant force.

Some good news here. Sucks that Sabu went to rehab, was hoping for a decent push now that some of the bigger stars are off the brand. Great news about DH Smith, maybe bring in Teddy Hart? Awesome that Raven and DOA will be dominant again. Can't wait to read the next show dude.

June 12, 2007 A Shift in Power “Let the bodies hit the floor…” ECW on Sci-Fi opens up with the traditional music video that features all of the federation’s top stars. Pyrotechnics explode at the entrance ramp and all around the arena as Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to tonight’s program. Tonight’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi will witness the debuts of ECW’s new Extremists! What will happen when the new blood tries to swim with the Extremist of ECW? A video recap of the 2007 draft is shown. ECW Heavyweight Champion C.M Punk opens up tonight’s program to a warm welcoming from the fan. C.M Punk says that tonight will usher in a new era of Extreme Championship Wrestling. He says that he is excited for some new competition, but reminds everyone that he is the best and no one can defeat him. C.M Punk says he is extremely excited to see who can step up to the next level and challenge him for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Rob Van Dam bursts onto the scene. Rob Van Dam says he is proud of everything C.M Punk has accomplished. He continues by saying C.M Punk is a great champion, but Rob Van Dam wants his title back. Rob Van Dam reminds everyone that he was the first ECW Heavyweight Champion and his reign was cut short. Rob promises he will make up for that when he defeats Punk for the gold. Rob than tells Punk not to take it personally because Punk is just at the wrong place, at the wrong time. C.M Punk responds that he respects Rob Van Dam and says he would love the opportunity to face him one on one. Punk than challenges Rob Van Dam to a nontitle match tonight! Rob Van Dam accepts and it seems that we have a main event. In the back, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in his office. Suddenly, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins appear in his office. They introduce themselves to Layfield and offer their services to him. John Layfield seems fond of the idea as he tells the duo to sit down so they can talk business. Opening Contest: The Full Blooded Italians – Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke w/ Trinity versus A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay w/ Monty Brown & Ariel Nontitle Match The ECW Tag Team Champions, A New Breed, are extremely over with the crowd. The Full Blooded Italians do manage to get some heel heat, but nothing to serious. The match was rather good and both teams really got in a good amount of offense to get the action rolling on a good note. Trinity tried to interfere, but Ariel knocked her off the apron. Tony Mamaluke was staring at the catfight which allowed Sylvester Terkay to deliver a Reverse Chokeslam for the victory. Winners: A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay w/ Monty Brown & Ariel The match ended at 10:13 B+A New Breed is celebrating their victory when suddenly the World’s Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, appear on stage. Charlie Haas has a microphone and he speaks on behalf of the team. He says that they are called the World’s Greatest Tag Team for a reason. He tells A New Breed to treasure their days as champions because it will not be long until the gold is sitting around the waists of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. A New Breed and the crowd are not pleased with the arrogant attitude of the World’s Greatest Tag Team. Tommy Dreamer is backstage talking to a road agent when The Miz, accompanied by Brooke Adams, confronts Tommy Dreamer. Miz says he saw Dreamer crying like a baby last week and says that he should be embarrassed of himself. He calls Tommy Dreamer a punk and says that he needs to step aside for the greatest Extremist to ever life, The Miz! Tommy Dreamer smacks Miz and tells him to meet him in the ring later. Danny Doring makes his way to the ring. He has now entitled himself “Beautiful” Danny Doring and he seems to be sporting a new arrogant attitude. He calls out anyone in the back to come out and face him. Match Two: “Beautiful” Danny Doring versus D.H Smith D.H Smith is making his ECW debut and he plans on making a huge impact by defeating Danny Doring. Doring has also been on a roll lately and recently defeated Roadkill at Guilty As Charged. D.H Smith really gives Doring a run for his money and shows that he is a serious competitor. D.H Smith goes for his signature Running Powerslam; however, Danny Doring slips out of the hold and escape the ring, getting counted out! Winner: D.H Smith The match ended at 5:57 C+ D.H Smith celebrates his victory although he is not extremely satisfied he won via count out. In the back we see John “Bradshaw” Layfield having a drink with his new associates Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Layfield hints that he is going to make his major announcement soon. Justin Credible is walking down a corridor when from behind he gets smashed by a steel chair. The chair falls to the ground and we discover that Rhyno delivered the devastating blow. Rob Van Dam is shown warming up for his match. Match Three: Tommy Dreamer versus Miz w/ Brooke AdamsThis is Miz’s first match in ECW and he is looking to make an impact. Tommy Dreamer is a strong face and the fans strongly support him. Miz is playing defense for most of the match, but eventually he gains some offense. The end of the match came when Brooke Adams tripped Tommy Dreamer and the Miz was able to roll him up with a school boy for the victory. Winner: The Miz w/ Brooke Adams The match ended at 4:34 C The Miz celebrates his victory like he just won the World Series. C.M Punk is shown warming up for his match. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are having a conversation backstage. Johnny Nitro walks past them and gives them a dirty look. He continues to walk and stops by the camera. He says he is ashamed by the competition he has seen so far and it will not be long before he is ECW Heavyweight Champion. A strange video airs. A candle is shown burning as Raven is heard preaching to the Disciples of Apocalypse. John “Bradshaw” Layfield makes his way to the ring alongside Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Layfield receives a mixed reaction, but doesn’t seem to mind. He is handed a microphone and quickly gets to the point. He announces that ECW will be the home for a new champion, the ECW Television Championship! He announces that this title will be won like no other before in the history of professional wrestling. Starting next week, eight selected extremists will compete in matches until Summer Slam. At Summer Slam, the two men with the most victories will compete in a match and the winner will receive the ECW Television Championship. He then announces the eight men who will compete: “Beautiful” Danny Doring, D.H Smith, Johnny Nitro, Justin Credible, Matt Morgan, Mike Knox, Monty Brown and Nick Dinsmore! He says that any match they compete in counts towards their record. He wishes all men good luck and he is interested to see who truly desires to step up to the plate and win the ECW Television Championship. A video package airs and it highlights C.M Punk’s ECW Heavyweight Championship reign. Main Event: Rob Van Dam versus C.M Punk Nontitle Match Both men are extremely popular with the crowd and the fans had no idea who to cheer for, so they cheered for both men. Both men had their fair share of offense and together they created magic. A lot of false finishes kept this match moving well and allowed the fans to stay with it. The end of the match came out of nowhere. Rob Van Dam was looking to hit some type of aerial move, but C.M Punk caught him midair with the Anaconda Vice! Rob Van Dam tried to grab the rope; however, he just couldn’t reach it and had to submit. Winner: C.M Punk The match ended at 18:45 AC.M Punk helps Rob Van Dam to his feet and the crowd gives them a standing ovation. C.M Punk is handed his ECW Heavyweight Championship and he celebrates his victory as Rob Van Dam heads up the ramp. Suddenly, “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan hits the ring and he attacks C.M Punk from behind. Hassan levels Punk with The Calling and grabs the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Hassan poses with the title above the unconscious C.M Punk.

Curious to see how ECW is now that the draft happened. RVD/Punk main event is good, figure RVD will win and get a title shot. Wonder how you'll bring in Hawkins/Ryder. New Breed winning was the obvious call. Dreamer/Miz is classic legend vs. newcomer. Smith push could be good, although that was just a cheap countout win. Wonder what's up with Rhyno/Credible. Glad Miz won his match. Nitro as ECW Champ isn't too appealing, although you could maybe pull it off and convince me otherwise. Bringing in the TV Title is good, having another title can't hurt. Surprised Punk won, thought you'd do a title match. But Hassan/Punk sounds good, Hassan is awesome. Good show, keep it up.

- RVD v Punk? Sweet! - Already knew about Hawkins and Ryder - Tag Champs winning is good. I liked the finish. - WGTT v ANB is gonna be great. - Miz v Dreamer? Hopefully Dreamer teaches Miz some respect. - Well booked ending to Smith/Doring. Both men look strong. - Credible/Rhyno segment was good. A feud would be cool to see. - Like the fluke victory by Miz. - Keep Nitro away from the ECW title for a while. Let him establish himself lower down the card. - Hopefully Raven and the DOA return stronger than before. - TV Title ftw! Like a lot!! - Great main event. Love Hassan's sneak attack, I saw this feud coming pretty soon. Should be good. You're a good booker, and you're writing flows nicely. Good job!!

- RVD/Punk is a great main event and a dream match of mine. - Ryder/Hawkins with JBL is a good idea. - Decent tag match to start the action on the show. Still have high hopes for Burke. - WGTT/New Breed could be a good series of matches for the tag gold. - Good Miz segment with Dreamer. - Figured that Doring wouldn’t lose after just turning heel and seemingly was going to get a push. Still, good outcome for Smith and glad to see him on ECW. - Glad that Miz ended up getting the win over Dreamer. - Nitro for ECW Champion.. That would be great! - Glad to see the ECW TV title back. I’m rooting for Nitro or Smith to win the strap. - Great main event and a huge win for Punk. - Punk/Hassan should be a fabulous feud as I love the Hassan character.

ECW News and Notes:June 13, 2007 - ECW once again did well in the ratings as it scored a 4.1 domestically. - The lockeroom seems to be happy with the changes ECW is currently undergoing. Paul Heyman is especially happy to help build up new stars. - The idea to team up Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins with John “Bradshaw” Layfield was so the dup did not get lost in the tag team shuffle. - The ECW Television Tournament is a take on MMA. Paul Heyman wants to test ways to make Professional Wrestling appear real again and wants to incorporate some type of MMA into ECW. - The ECW lockeroom is not surprised that Sabu was put into rehab and many are optimistic that this may help him sober up for good. Vince McMahon was very angry that Sabu was sent to rehab and an insider is saying Sabu may lose his job over this incident. - Kurt Angle and Mike Awesome made their Raw debut on Monday and did extremely well. It would come to no surprise to see Kurt Angle pick up the WWE Championship and feud with Mike Awesome over the belt. Vince McMahon also seems to be very high on Mike Awesome and feels Kurt Angle can truly make him a mega star. - Matt Striker may be called to ECW soon to manage a debuting star. More on this story as it becomes available. - There are talks of changing the Pay Per View schedule. The idea is to have four joint Pay Per Views a year - Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summer Slam and Survivor Series - and give Raw, Smackdown and ECW three brand Pay Per Views a year. This was actually cut down the Pay Per View schedule to 13 events a year as it is currently at 15.

ECW- Punk vs. RVD should be good. But, I don't see or want CM Punk losing the title just yet. New Cabinet? hmmmmmm................. Good to see the New Bread win. As the FBI wasn't that good in the later years. WGTT vs. New Bread would be really good. I could see them having some good matches and programs over the next weeks/months. The Miz. URG. Sorry I can't stand him. Ok match, Smith winning is fine. I;m glad to see R/H with JBL now. I didn't see them doing much at all. A Rhyno/Justin feud would be cool. I hope you can go through it. Miz wining is good, as if he lost his debut that would look bad. Hope to see more of this feud aswell. I wouldn't put JOMO up there for a title shot just yet. TV title, now I would give it to someone like Nitro, Smith, or Brown. Glad to see Punk win, helped him there. I'm unsure about the Hassan thing, I'll like to see where you go with it.

June 19, 2007 Striking for Gold“Let the bodies hit the floor…” ECW on Sci-Fi opens up with the traditional music video that features all of the federation’s top stars. Pyrotechnics explode at the entrance ramp and all around the arena as Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to tonight’s program. Tonight we will see the first round of the ECW Television Championship Tournament. Also, C.M Punk will be looking for an explanation on why Muhammad Hassan attacked him last week. ECW Heavyweight Champion C.M Punk opens up tonight’s program to a loud ovation. C.M Punk quickly gets down to business as he demands Muhammad Hassan get out here right now! Punk is surprised when Rob Van Dam shows up instead of Hassan. Rob says that C.M Punk is the ECW Heavyweight Champion and he needs to be worried about giving that title honor. He confesses that Punk defeated him last week; however, he is not giving up that easy. Rob says that he just got out of John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office and the following match has been made: Rob Van Dam versus “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. Rob than says that once he defeats Muhammad Hassan, he expects C.M Punk to be ready to defend his ECW Heavyweight Championship against Rob…Van…Dam! The World’s Greatest Tag Team is shown backstage warming up for their match tonight. When Charlie Haas sees the camera he quickly tells A New Breed to watch their match because they will realize why their days as champions are numbered. Opening Contest: “Beautiful” Danny Doring versus D.H Smith versus Johnny Nitro versus Justin Credible ECW Television Championship Tournament This is the first match in the ECW Television Championship Tournament. To reiterate the rules, these four men and four others will compete in matches until Summer Slam; the two men with the most victories by Summer Slam will compete in a match to crown the first ever ECW Television Champion. This match was actually better than one would assume and the crowd seemed to enjoy it. D.H Smith and Danny Doring spent most of the match going after one another and it is becoming apparent that they will be feuding. Justin Credible was doing incredibly well until Rhyno came out and taunted Justin Credible. Justin Credible was distracted which allowed Johnny Nitro to capitalize and roll up Credible for a victory! Winner: Johnny Nitro The match ended at 8:56 BJohnny Nitro celebrates the biggest victory of his career as Justin Credible races out of the ring and up the entrance ramp to brawl with Rhyno. Near the announcers table, D.H Smith and Danny Doring are also exchanging blows. Security races out to break up both fights before anything gets to serious. In the back, A New Breed is shown in their lockeroom. Elijah Burke is wishing Monty Brown good luck in his match later tonight. Monty Brown says that he is going to win the ECW Television Championship and bring even more gold home to A New Breed. The Miz is backstage with Brooke Adams and he is still celebrating his victory over Tommy Dreamer from last week. The Miz claims that he is going straight to the top. Match Two: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin versus Southern Miracle – Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch This is the World’s Greatest Tag Team’s debut match on ECW. Southern Miracle has not done much since October of 2006 when they had their last shot at the ECW Tag Team Championships; however, a victory tonight could elevate them into getting a title shot. The crowd was really against the World’s Greatest Tag Team and they have quickly become the top heel tag team. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas really shinned tonight and dominated most of the match, but Southern Miracle did manage to get in some offense. The match came to an end when Shelton Benjamin hit a huge T-Bone Suplex of Trevor Murdoch for victory. Winners: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas The match ended at 5:33 CECW Tag Team Champions Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay are shown watching the World’s Greatest Tag Team celebrate on a monitor backstage. In the back, C.M Punk is shown in John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office and he is getting very vocal. He complains about not being able to get his hands on Muhammad Hassan and says that he wants his revenge. John says that he will think about giving Punk a match against Hassan, but for the mean time he makes C.M Punk the referee for tonight’s main event of Rob Van Dam versus “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins then suck up to Layfield for his good decision making. Tommy Dreamer is in the back and he calls the Miz a young punk. He says the Miz got the best of him last week, but next week Tommy Dreamer will get his revenge. He says that John Layfield has granted him a rematch against the Miz…under Extreme Rules! Rob Van Dam is shown doing his unorthodox style of stretching. Match Three: Matt Morgan versus Mike Knox versus Monty Brown versus Nick Dinsmore ECW Television Championship Tournament This is the second match in the ECW Television Championship Tournament. To reiterate the rules, these four men and four others will compete in matches until Summer Slam; the two men with the most victories by Summer Slam will compete in a match to crown the first ever ECW Television Champion. This match was a brawl for victory. Nick Dinsmore was red hot and is really trying to make a name for himself. Matt Morgan proved to the crowd that his wrestling skills are improving as he put up an impressive showing. As expected, Monty Brown was the fan favorite and is really the next big thing in professional wrestling. The end of the match came when Monty Brown was left with Mike Knox in the ring. Monty Brown was able to hit the Pounce and scored the victory. Winner: Monty Brown The match ended at 10:45 BIn the back, The Full Blooded Italians are complaining that they are mistreated. Little Guido reminds everyone that they were the first ever ECW Tag Team Champions. Together, they make up an excuse for their lose last week and claim that they were so distracted by the disrespect. They conclude by stating that they will get their ECW Tag Team Championships back! A strange video airs. Raven’s voice can be heard as his words appear on screen in a bloody font: “He is not to blame.” In the back Justin Credible is shown attacking Rhyno. He slams his head against a wall and follows up with a nasty chair shot. Justin picks up Rhyno and slides him against a concession table. Justin throws Rhyno on the table and tries to Piledriver him through it! Rhyno counters and backdrops Justin onto the concrete floor! Rhyno than tosses the table on top of Justin and begins to walk away. Rhyno thought the fight was over but he was wrong. Justin comes running from behind and smashes Rhyno to the ground. Justin picks up Rhyno and throws him through a glass window! Justin Credible walks away and Rhyno looks seriously hurt. Main Event: Rob Van Dam versus “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan C.M Punk is the Guest Referee Rob Van Dam is incredibly popular with the fans and Muhammad Hassan may be the most over heel in the entire federation. Muhammad Hassan is really proving that he is a great talent and Rob Van Dam really helps him put on a stellar performance. C.M Punk plays a biased referee in favor of Rob Van Dam and the crowd loves it. Muhammad Hassan had Rob Van Dam defeated on a few occasions, but C.M Punk counted slowly so Rob could manage to kick out. Rob Van Dam started mounting a terrific amount of offense towards the end and was looking for a Five Star Frog Splash to end the match. Muhammad Hassan shows his ring experience as he gets up and throws Van Dam off the top rope and into the guardrail. When Muhammad Hassan turns around he is introduced to C.M Punk’s foot. Winner: No Contest The match ended at 19:34 A C.M Punk starts throwing some heavy punches at Hassan and the crowd loves it. Security races out to break up the brawl and C.M Punk walks up the entrance ramp holding the ECW Heavyweight Championship up high.

ECW News and Notes:June 20, 2007 - ECW once again did well in the ratings as it scored a 4.2 domestically. - It seems that Muhammad Hassan may win the ECW Heavyweight Championship; however, he is not expected to win the ECW Heavyweight Championship. - I have been informed that Monty Brown is expected to win the ECW Television Championship. Vince McMahon wants A New Breed to be a dominant force and he feels this can assist in the matter. - There is a rumor circulating that an ECW Alumni may be returning to compete full time in ECW. It is unclear who it may be, but I would assume the Sandman is a strong possibly. - It is unclear where the Rhyno and Justin Credible feud will go. Paul Heyman seems to be taking the feud week by week and seeing how it develops. - I received a phone call early today that informed me Paul Heyman is itching to become an onscreen character again. - Jack Hager is expected to get called up from FCW in the coming months.

- good main event set up for Hassan/RVD - Good win for Nitro, and I am curious to see where the Rhyno/Credible feud goes. - I like that WGTT has became a force on ECW. I expect them to win the tag titles. - Miz/Dreamer in Extreme Rules should be fun. - Glad to see Brown picking up the win as he has the most upside out of the four, in my opinion. - Awesome brawl between Credible/Rhyno. - Decent main event it turned out. I’d expect a three way dance for the ECW title at Summer Slam.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 19th June 2007...Nice opening promo to kick off the show, with ECW World Champion, CM Punk coming out to the ring and demanding a match with Muhammad Hassan. Should be good when the time comes, but I'm not too good about the idea of CM Punk against Rob Van Dam being given away for free on Sci-Fi. Suppose it drags in viewers, though. I cannot see Danny Doring making a credible midcard talent. Johnny Nitro should get far in the ECW Television Championship League. World's Greatest Tag Team beating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch is okay. Nothing for Cade and Murdoch anymore. Not to mention 'Southern Miracle' is pretty suckish for a name, in my opinion. Monty Brown advancing into the ECW Television Championship League is all fine. No big deal, there. I wasn't a fan of your news report, though, just basically giving away that Brown would end up as champ. Epic spoiler thrown out to readers, not good. Justin Credible and Rhyno makes up for the ECW-traditional feud, action-packed I suppose. Great main event, Muhammad Hassan against Rob Van Dam is okay, liked CM Punk getting involved. Just not big on Punk kicking ass as the show went off the air. Good show; I missed one edition of ECW, but this was better than the Terry Funk Memorial Show two weeks back.

June 26, 2007 Beautifully Vexatious“Let the bodies hit the floor…” ECW on Sci-Fi opens up with the traditional music video that features all of the federation’s top stars. Pyrotechnics explode at the entrance ramp and all around the arena as Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to tonight’s program. Tonight we will see the continuation of the ECW Television Tournament! Also, Tommy Dreamer will face off against the Miz in Extreme Rules! Additionally, will “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan seek revenge against C.M Punk over the events that closed the broadcast last week? Opening Contest: “Beautiful” Danny Doring & Matt Morgan versus Nick Dinsmore & D.H Smith ECW Television Tournament This is the second week of the ECW Television Tournament and so far these four men have yet to pick up a victory. D.H Smith and Danny Doring are currently feuding and develop the feud with Doring being a coward, trying not to have to face off with Smith in the ring. Dinsmore put on an impressive performance and is really trying to catch the attention of the suits. Matt Morgan still seems a little green; however, he has improved over the last few months. The match was nothing special, but it was not bad. The end of the match came when the referee became distracted. Danny Doring nailed Nick Dinsmore with a low blow which allowed Matt Morgan to connect with a Chokeslam to gain the victory. Winners: “Beautiful” Danny Doring & Matt Morgan The match ended at 6:34 BDanny Doring had no time to celebrate as D.H Smith quickly went on the attack. Matt Morgan had no interest in getting involved and he strolled to the back. Smith sent Doring flying into the ring post and then finished him off with a Running Powerslam on the entrance ramp! D.H Smith leaves to a decent ovation from the crowd. John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in his office and seems rather stressed. He sends Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins to find C.M Punk and bring him to his office immediately! Rhyno is in the back and his head is wrapped in bandages. He says that Justin Credible got the best of him last week, but this war is far from over. He says that he wants Justin Credible’s Money in the Bank Briefcase and one way or another, he will get it! He wishes Justin Credible luck in his match against Johnny Nitro tonight because he will need it. A knock is heard on the office door of John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office. He grants entrance and the Pitbulls enter. John seems disappointed and demands to know what they want. The Pitbulls wants a shot at the ECW Tag Team Championships. John says that they need to prove something before they get a title shot, so next week they will have a match to see where they stand in the division. He then kicks the trio out and slams his desk demanding C.M Punk. Match Two: Johnny Nitro versus Justin Credible ECW Television Tournament Johnny Nitro is currently undefeated in the tournament and Justin Credible is looking for his first victory. These two men have great chemistry together and put on a great match. Justin Credible nearly captured a victory when he nailed a beautiful That’s Incredible, but he got distracted when Rhyno came out on stage. Rhyno starts running down the ramp like he is going to interfere, but he doesn’t; instead, he points behind Justin Credible. Credible turns around and gets a kick in the stomach, followed by a Corkscrew Neckbreaker for the victory! Winner: Johnny Nitro The match ended at 7:45 B+ Johnny Nitro celebrates the victory as Rhyno enters the ring and crotches in the corner. As Justin Credible stands up, Rhyno delivers a nasty Gore! Rhyno poses over the body of Justin Credible as the fans cheer him on. Back in John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office, Rob Van Dam is standing in front of his desk. Layfield is not pleased that Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins have yet to find C.M Punk; however, he is pleased to see Van Dam. Layfield explains that Rob has been outstanding lately and he truly deserves a shot at the ECW Heavyweight Championship. He tells Rob that he is facing a mystery opponent tonight, but if he wins he can have a shot at C.M Punk’s ECW Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins race into the office of Layfield. They tell Layfield that Punk is knocked out in the parking lot. Ryder and Hawkins run with Layfield to the parking lot and Van Dam is following closely behind them. Match Three: Monty Brown w/ Elijah Burke, Sylvester Terkay & Ariel versus Mike Knox ECW Television TournamentA New Breed is extremely over with the audience and Mike Knox is starting to really get over as a dominant heel. During the match, the World’s Greatest Tag Team comes down to ringside. Monty Brown seems concerned by their presence, but continues to try and defeat Mike Knox. Suddenly, the World’s Greatest Tag Team starts to attack A New Breed! Monty Brown tries to exit the ring, but Mike Knox delivers a nasty boot to the head before he can. Monty Brown falls to the mats outside the ring and the referee starts his count. Monty Brown seems incoherent and by the time he gets up, he has been counted out! Winner: Mike Knox The match ended at 5:45 CMonty Brown quickly forgets about his lose as he goes to assist his teammates. The World’s Greatest Tag Team flea through the crowd and A New Breed tries to recover at ringside. In the parking lot, C.M. Punk has had his head smashed through the window of a car and is lying in a pile of blood on the concrete. An inverted wooden cross has been placed on his body and the four men seems shocked by the attack. John Layfield calls for paramedics as Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins go to look for the attacker. Rob picks up the wooden cross and holds it in his hands. He claims that he is going to seek revenge on Hassan for this attack. Match Four: Tommy Dreamer versus The Miz w/ Brooke Adams Extreme Rules This match was pretty decent and the Miz is really improving in his ring work. Dreamer is pretty over with the crowd and the Miz is starting to get some serious heat. The crowd really enjoyed watching the Miz get beat up and Tommy Dreamer spent most the match working Miz. Miz took some serious chair shots, but also received some whacks from kendo sticks, STOP signs, trash cans and the ring steps. Dreamer was looking for a Death Valley Driver when Brooke kicks him between the legs. This turned the tables as Miz finally was able to capitalize. The Miz retrieved a ladder and busted Dreamer wide open with it. Miz step up a table on the outside and placed a ladder on top of it. He was going for some type of maneuver to launch Dreamer onto it, but Dreamer countered and nailed a ddt. Tommy Dreamer picked up the Miz and launched him onto it with a Death Valley Driver. The table didn’t break so Dreamer climbs to the top rope and went for a huge leg drop. Sadly, the Miz rolled out of the way and Tommy Dreamer connected strictly with the ladder. The Miz was able to connect with the Reality Check and score the biggest victory of his career! Winner: The Miz w/ Brooke Adams The match ended at 13:24 B+ The Miz celebrates the victory with Brooke Adams as medics check on Tommy Dreamer. A strange video airs. Raven’s voice can be heard as his words appear on screen in a bloody font: “Bear the cross you choose to wear.” Rob Van Dam once again vouches to avenge Muhammad Hassan’s vicious attack on C.M Punk. Main Event: Masato Tanaka versus Rob Van Dam Tanaka made his shocking return to ECW and the crowd was extremely excited to see the ECW Alumni. These two men put on a great contest and both put on a great performance. The crowd was extremely pleased with the contest and they ate up every moment of it. Tanaka shocked the crowd when he nailed a deadly sit-down Powerbomb on Rob Van Dam from the second ring rope! Rob Van Dam also excited the crowd when he hit a Van Terminator (without the chair). After a long battle the bell eventually rang. The crowd seemed confused but they quickly realized that the twenty minute time limit had expired! Time Limit Draw The match ended at 20:00 ARob Van Dam and Masato Tanaka shake hands and celebrate that they put on a great contest. Suddenly, ‘The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan appears on stage and he has blood smeared all over him. ECW News and Notes:June 27, 2007 - ECW once again did well in the ratings as it scored a 4.2 domestically. - It is unclear where the C.M Punk and Muhammad Hassan angle is going. All we do know is that Rob Van Dam’s involvement will increase in the coming weeks. - The decision to bring back Masato Tanaka was pushed heavily by Paul Heyman. Heyman is a huge fan of Tanaka and feels he brings something special to the table. I would expect him to receive a heavy push. It should be noted that Vince McMahon is concerned about his ability to get over with the American audience. - Tomorrow will mark A New Breed’s sixth month as ECW Tag Team Champions. - The tag team division seems to becoming a vocal point of ECW once again. - Johnny Nitro has impressed everyone with his talent and it would come as no surprise if he won the ECW Television Championship.

- Opening contest didn’t really interest me. Solid win for the heels. Cool aftermath as that helps Smith get over, I would think. Shows he is a force in ECW. - Good win for Nitro, and the distraction by Rhyno gives Credible an excuse. - Interested to see what exactly happened to Punk… - Ehh.. I guess the finish of Brown/Knox doesn’t hurt Brown. But, I would have liked Brown win. - Very good extreme rules match with Dreamer/Miz. Also, love that Miz picked up the win Good win for him. - Great to see Tanaka back in ECW. Good draw decision, as well. Thought it was a nice touch to have Hassan having Punk’s blood on him. - First portion of the show seemed rather dull, but the second half was fanastic.

-Good opener, helped the heels get back in the hunt -Glad to see Nitro get the win, can't wait for more Rhino/Justin -RVD vs. Punk should be good -I bet Hassan had something to do with it -Would have gave Brown the win, but I understand that Knox needed the win -Good xrules match. Giving Miz the win was smart -Good to see Tanaka back, and the fact that it went to a time limit draw was good. -Hassan not alone, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm -Good show later half was better though

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 26th June 2007...Sort of a weak opening contest to open up the show this week, and also, I got to say, what a confusing subtitle you have given this week's episode. Danny Doring and Matt Morgan against Nick Dinsmore and DH Smith would have been confusing. Morgan and Doring beating Dinsmore and Smith is okay, but I really hate what has happened to the much better talented team, Dinsmore and Smith. They're better than the green Morgan and the past-prime Doring. Wish that Dinsmore and Smith had won this one. DH could be a monster to the ECW World Television Championship. Please keep that in mind. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins in mid 2007? I'm not sure what to think of that, exactly. John Bradshaw Layfield seems to still be doing a good job as ECW General Manager. The Pitbulls coming in and demanding more of a shot? Rightful, as Kid Kash and Jamie Noble deserve a lot more in my opinion. Johnny Nitro beating Justin Credible is fine, but the run in from Rhyno doesn't help Nitro's character in my opinion. Rhyno and Credible's feud is going interesting places. Rob Van Dam as a contender to the ECW World Heavyweight Championship again would be good, but I hope he does other things than crowd the ECW World Heavyweight Championship region all of the time. Monty Brown beating Mike Knox is okay, but that could have been a great match. Instead, it was given six minutes and the count out finish wasn't good at all. Wish you had treated it better. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas chasing A New Breed away is fine. The Miz and Tommy Dreamer had a lengthy Extreme Rules match, wish it had been given shorter so Brown/Knox could have gone three or four minutes longer. Good main event with Rob Van Dam and Masato Tanaka, but it should have ended with both men continuing to wrestle, that is the only way a Time Limit Draw could look good in this time period. Muhammad Hassan coming out in blood was random, and CM Punk's involvement with this is questionable. Not the best edition this week, but every booker will put on a bad show sometimes.
