CARSON PALMER AT NUMBER 4? BLAHAHAHA.
They ranked him ahead of Ben Roethlisberger and Kurt Warner for god sakes.

Agree with Bubba about Palmer and how is Marion Barber not in the top 20 for the RB postion.

Yea I don't see how Beanie Wells is on there and hasn't played a snap and Barber isn't.
This coming from someone who completely swears off saying good things about the Cowboys.

Agree with Bubba about Palmer and how is Marion Barber not in the top 20 for the RB postion. He had a pretty lackluster 08, to be honest. Honestly though, these articles are definitely misguided.

These rankings are f*cking intellectually- disabled.
Brandon Jacobs as the 3rd best RB in the NFL? Above Frank Gore!?!
Dwight Freeney above Mario Williams and Aaron Smith at DE?
Hasselbeck above Aaron Rodgers or Jay Cutler? Jason Campbell being in the top-20 QB's whatsoever?
Andre Gurode as only the 9th best Center in the league?

May be homerism, but what makes Frank Gore better than Jacobs?

Lets see how Jacobs does without Ward this year, I dont think he will outproduce Gore Ahmad Bradshaw is going to be better spelling Jacobs than Ward. Will Jacobs have more yards than Gore? Probably not, considering the Giants stable 4 RBs, and the 49ers have Gore. Touchdowns? Jacobs. YPC? Jacobs. Only thing holding Jacobs back is his proneness to injury.

Proof? Jacobs has immense talent. Frank Gore had over 2,000 total yards in '06 behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. Brandon Jacobs has zero receiving ability, his rushing ability is overrated because he can run straight-up behind one of the premier run-blocking offensive lines in the league; he is spelled by some of the better spell backs in the league, and he actually has talent besides him in the offense. Frank Gore is the only player who has been worth crapin the San Francisco offense since he got there. And he's still good. That's the proof.

Guess what, YPC and touchdowns aren't a logical way of evaluating a running back. In fact, they have more to do with the offensive line than they do the running back himself.
Trust me, if there's one position in the NFL that I 'study', it's running back.
Brandon Jacobs is good, but there's a reason that the Giants use so many running backs... Because none of them are great.

The only thing Gore has on Jacobs according to you is hands. You ragged on Jacobs more than you did promote Gore.

I don't study the NFL as much as you do, so I won't try and compare them individually.

Brandon Jacobs would be god awful in San Francisco. Frank Gore would be rushing for 1,700 yards, catching for another 500, and probably scoring between 15-20 touchdowns every year.
