Favre isnt coming back, the Jets didnt want to take teh chance I dont think he is coming back either. Though when he was reached for comment he said he "did not have the intent to return." Some say this release was for either issues with endorsements or chance for him to return to the Pack one day and retire. All I know is that the Jets will not have to pay the steep penalty if Favre does sign with the Vikes or anything.

I was thinking today of who the Jets could sign to help Sanchez.........MARVIN HARRISON. No, Marvin can run routes like he used to. He isnt a deep threat and he doesnt command double teams. However, Marvin still has great hands. The Jets will need to reply on a balanced attack of running and passing. I think Sanchez needs more work on his deep tosses anyway. He loves to reply on the tight end, dink and dunking and finding open receivers on slants and outs. Give me Marvin Harrison. I think Harrison can still make catches for an 8-10 yd pattern, while helping build the confidence of a young QB. The Jets have Cotchery, who really came on last season. Clowney is up and coming. Brad Smith, the former QB, has some speed and Keller the TE has wonderful hands and great red zone presence. If they cant get Boldin.......Harrison is a great option on a 1-2 year contract.

I don't think this guarantees that he'll end his retirement. I think a true contender would have to call him.

They were a 7-9 team last year. I fully expect SOMEONE to step up and be the every week QB of this team. Jones, Bruce and Crabtree is a decent set of receivers, Gore in the backfield and pretty good defense. Plus with them playing in the NFC west it helps them out more.

The NFC West did have the best draft out of any division.
But St. Louis is winning the division next season. Chris Long will mature and step up, Especially under Steve Spagnuolo. Jason Smith will Anchor the O-line with Bell at LG and Brown at Center. Steven Jackson will have a real lead FB in Carney. The 2nd round pick James Laurinaitis instantly improves the linebacking corps. He'll play Mike so Witherspoon can now play his natural position at Will LB. Playmaker OJ Atogwe got franchised and one of the best corners in the league last season, Ronald Bartell(one of the few CBs who could cover Larry Fitzgerald) was resigned. Justin King, Bradley Fletcher, Tye Hill, and Jonathan wade will all compete for the other corner spot and nickel spot.
The only real question left is receiver. Donnie Avery showed some of the best adjustments on the ball of all rookies last season, other than that there are a lot of question marks. As it looks right now Laurent Robinson and Keenan Burton will compete for the number 2 receiver.

I don't think the 49ers winning the division is unreasonable.
The Rams aren't there yet. The Seahawks aren't either.

Jim Mora was also the coach of the Falcons the last time they made the NFC conference championship game. TRW, what did you think of my previous post concerning why the Jets should sign Marvin Harrison?

Jim Mora was also the coach of the Falcons the last time they made the NFC conference championship game. TRW, what did you think of my previous post concerning why the Jets should sign Marvin Harrison? That was Dan Reeves team. They were practically running his offense as well, since Vick couldn't grasp the new one as well. Reeves only got fired because Vick broke his leg. Jim Mora is a clown. He didn't know how a tie would impact his team in the playoffs. How does a head coach go into an important game and not know this? I think Harrison could be a decent signing. I wouldn't give him more than two years though. He could certainly help Sanchez along, but I don't think he is going to make the team much better than they would be without him.
