Yea Phillip Rivers had the highest passer rating last year.
That means he's better than Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tony Romo, Seneca Wallace, etc.

CHAD PENNINGTON HAD THE SECOND BEST QB RATING LAST YEAR. DOES THAT MEAN HE'S BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE? HUH? HUH? YES!!!!!!!!! Of course not. Hahaha. I'm not trying to say Seneca is anything great, I'm just saying that he had pretty terrible receivers and still did pretty well. He's at least a very capable backup. Yea Phillip Rivers had the highest passer rating last year. That means he's better than Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tony Romo, Seneca Wallace, etc. Philip Rivers is awesome.

David Carr has a passer rating of 144.4
That means he's like first in the league.

Seneca isn't bad. It just surprises me someone like you would like him lol. I like players who make plays. Seneca does that... And he's a backup QB, so it's not like a team is hanging their future on him. David Carr has a passer rating of 144.4 That means he's like first in the league. Hahahaha. You need a certain amount of attempts to even qualify. Really, to me, what it comes down to is TD/INT ratio more than anything. It bothers me when people claim QB's are amazing when they throw damn-near as many INT's as touchdowns.

Like Favre. , I'm not complaining. My QB was +11. Eli is a good game manager.

Exactly. , I'm not complaining. My QB was +11. Eli is a good game manager. Eli had by far his best year in '08. He finally showed a bit of what made him the No. 1 overall draft pick. That's why I'm not overly concerned about the loss of Plaxico Burress -- Eli was successful without him, and proved that it wasn't his receivers making him look good, but that he actually had talent and some decision-making skills. But don't tell the media that, they need to live in the false reality that he was actually good in '07. Afterall, the QB on the team that wins the Superbowl is obviously top-5 every year, right?

He was actually good in the playoffs. His rating was like 93.0 or something. Since then, he has played good football, and I'm not concerned about our passing game next season. Apparently the Lions are hellbent on making the playoffs this year.

Eli was good in the playoffs. But let's be honest here -- if he wasn't on the Giants' roster, "he" doesn't make the playoffs, not to mention the Superbowl, with that awful regular season he had.

No, I agree. He played some pretty bad football in the regular season. But I'd like to give him credit in the post season for stepping up, and leading the offense throughout the playoffs.

CHAD PENNINGTON HAD THE SECOND BEST QB RATING LAST YEAR. DOES THAT MEAN HE'S BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE? HUH? HUH? Not to get off the recent subject, but I feel Pennington had a legit case for league MVP last year. After the Jets kicked him out in favor of that bum Brett Favre, all he did was go to a team that was 1-15 the year before and sign with them just a few weeks before the season started. Then, led them to the AFC East title and a berth in the playoffs. Where would they have been with Jon Beck or Cleo Lemon in there like they had the year before? I would've voted Pennington over Manning last year, very easily.

He didn't suddenly go from being a non-starting QB to a league MVP. 2007 Dolphins - 24th in passing - 23rd in rushing - 23rd in defense ----------- 2008 Dolphins - 10th in passing - 11th in rushing - 15th in defense The Dolphins getting better wasn't solely because of Chad Pennington. Obviously he was better than what they had in '07, but come on - MVP caliber? I think not.

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY trying NOT to be a homer, but if you vote anyone over Peyton for MVP last season, it's AP or Brees.

I agree that while Chad Pennington had a good year with the Dolphins last year it wasn't a MVP year, it really bugged me that people were trying to say he should of been league MVP over Peyton Manning last year.
