VINCE RUSSO DOES NOT BOOK TNA. RUSSO HAS NEVER BOOKED A COMPANY IN HIS LIFE. HE IS JUST A WRITER. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WRITER AND A BOOKER. That makes him even worse. How? He writes for TNA, and not only that, even IF his writing is so shitty, EVERYTHING has to go through Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantell. Russo isn't the king of TNA, buddy. Stop using Russo as a scapegoat for the real people to blame.

I don't think so. Some people can look at it that way, and some people see it in a different way. Not every angle was a "shoot" in WCW. on the very first nitro written by russo and ferrera buff bagwell comes out, performs half-hearted and lackluster, and lays down for la parka. then he gets on the mic and asks russo if he did a good "job" for him. but i guess you're right, not every angle was a shoot. just 60% of them, which negates the other 40% or so because you're admitting wrestling is fake while expecting them to care about whatever lance storm and team canada is doing even though it's fake.

when i was younger, i used to blame him.
a few years ago, i started to like him and heard his side of the story.
now i realise that, i was not there, i never worked for either company, i dont know what he is really like as a person, i did not know his motives. Therefore, i know f#ck all, neither do any of you, get over it!

I like how he calls the book "How WCW Killed Vince Russo", but the evidence to the contrary is in his promotional material.
"Penned by a winner of the WCW Championship..."

he messed up the title of his own book im sure its meant to say How Vince Russo killed WCW You can't place the blame on one person tbh. If you have so many hands in the pot - you're going to have problems. It's just typcial wrestling fans/wrestlers go go 'RUSSO KILLED WCW'! Vince Russo did not kill WCW, WCW killed WCW. Although in all honesty, it was kind of like that scene in Kill Bill, like Bishoff, Rhodes, Sullivan, Dillon, and Flair roughed up WCW, and beat it into a bloody pulp. Then Russo walked up, talked to it sweetly and put a bullet in its head. A few years later it will wake up and kill everyone involved.

Honestly, I don't see how Russo could've killed it. Everyime people talk about the death they blame everyone and everything but the AOL/Time Warner merger. It's like being in the room when someone died - just because you were there when they died didn't mean you killed them.

But the Time Warner/AOL merger only became a factor because the company was in the shitter due to bad management/booking and was losing tons of money. Yeah ultimately the merger and cancellation of Nitro/Thunder was what truly ended WCW, but the cause of all that happened from 1998-2001.

In all honesty russo's hands were tied, and as someone said, WCW was dead b4 he took over. Big contracts and bad pushes during the bischoff era were what ran that company in the ground. the sad thing is that it seems Jarret and Russo learned very little from that experience.
