25 years since Vince McMahon Sr. died of cancer.
also 7 years since "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith died of a heart attack.

At least their legacies live on though sons who bear a strong resemblance to them

At least their legacies live on though sons who bear a strong resemblance to them And in the McMahon family case: a son who's now old, and unaware of what the current generation wants, and is in need of a younger successor taking over their position.

I am not sure of what you mean with current generation. I gotta say I hate what WWE has become, but it is towards the kids, and they seem to love it, so I think he is doing a good job. On topic: R.I.P. both of them. British Bulldog was an amazing wrestler... the saddest part is that he should still be with us today.

I'm saying Vince needs to be taken over and have his business radically shaken, along the same lines of how he took over the WWF from his father... who was older and didn't really know what the then-current audiences wanted.

What we're getting IS what the current audience wants. The children out number the attitude era fans now days. Its a new generation being built. Accept it or jump off the band wagon with the rest of the attitude fans that left when wrestling wasnt "cool" anymore

Accept it or jump off the band wagon with the rest of the attitude fans that left when wrestling wasnt "cool" anymore I jumped off a few years ago, don't worry. I can't remember the last time I watched a full episode of Raw. Maybe '04. But I'm saying wrestling needs another spark and a boom, otherwise this era's going to suck and turn out like The New Generation of 1994. And nobody wants that. So if catering to children is their thing, then so be it. But those children will grow up to become bored or disinterested in the product, so the cycle inevitably repeats itself.

I have little interest in today's product too, but often wonder what things would have been like if the territories were still around, and if more than just ONE national promotion was on offer, maybe like a throwback to how the AWA, the NWA and WCCW existed...That sort of thing.

when i first saw this thread, i thought it was definetly gonna be a smark ripping into common wrestling fans..
davey boy smith was an amazing talent but it is pretty odd people hold him in such high regard when it's widely known that he drugged his wife and sodomized her unconscious body.
