“As I’m sure everybody knows, I’ve been in this company a long time now. And in all my years, not too many things I’ve changed. I’ve always been great, Yukio’s always sucked, that kind of thing.
But, as you also all know, there have been some changes going on in my professional lately. More specifically, I saw the light. I decided I was no longer to hang around with a couple outlaws and misfits that were doing nothing but holding me back.
Oh, I know that’s not the image one normally has of The Axis. But take a look at the history of this little group of ours. Who never did a single goddamn thing as a singles wrestler? Who floundered when faced with big singles matches?
I’m neither of those two men. Kurt was the one who was a decent tag team wrestler when he had someone to make him look good, but in singles competition his biggest claim to fame is losing to EBR and absurd number of times.
And then there’s Mr. Wayne McGurk. Everybody had high hopes for him. He was going to be the future of the company, so they said. He held that International Title for a very impressive length of time. Surely he would get the WFWF World Title and do the same thing.
But that never happened, did it? Instead you made a fool of yourself against Obo not once but twice. You got your ass handed to you and made it clear that in a big match situation you would always choke.
Then I came along to rise so far above what you to ever were. I did what you couldn’t do, Wayne. I beat Obo in his own match and have been at the top of this company ever since.
What were you doing Wayne? Well lately you’ve been having your wife fight your battles for you and putting her in harm’s way by placing her near a dangerous and amazingly handsome man like me. Yeah, that’s the kind of guy I want to associate myself with.
But I saw the light and now associate myself with a man who is truly a genius in Trace Demon. Not only that, but he’s not piss-poor in the ring. And if there’s a problem, we can just call on our good friend nerO to take care of it.
And yet I have not rid myself of some people from my past. There’s you, Wayne, for one. And there’s Yukio too, the wrestling equivalent to a little kid poking you with a stick. You know he can do no harm, but he still annoys the holy hell out of you.
So I must face two members of my past in the same match.
A fair warning in advance: I don’t want to hurt either of you. No, I’m not that kind of guy.
But maybe, just maybe I can make you two see the light as well.”
