Just wondering what folks think was Shawn Michaels' best singles match as a heel? Not including the ladder match with Razor. Specifically, I'm thinking as a main event heel, so mostly from the DX period (and not the cell or casket match).

Definitely when he took on his own partner, Triple H, for the European Championship.

Definitely when he took on his own partner, Triple H, for the European Championship. Haha best match ever ... Seriously, though, HBK v. Taker at Ground Zero was very good and I also really enjoyed HBK v. Mankind on the RAW after he turned heel ... the first night Rude ame out. TBH, HBK didnt have many main event matches when he was in DX. At the time he didnt wrestle often on RAW and only dd a few PPV's. His match with Shamrock at DX IYH was solid too.

The IYH: DX match sticks out for me too, I must say, as well as IYH: Ground Zero.

No love for One Night Only?
I also haven't watched the WrestleMania 11 main event in a long time. Anyone remember it being any good?
I've never seen the Ground Zero match, I'll have to check that one out soon.

The HIAC against taker was awesome as was hbk v austin at mania. The WM 11 match was pretty solid but the match at in your house house good friends better enemies was much better.

Seriously, though, HBK v. Taker at Ground Zero was very good. Underrated match. Like I've said in other threads, it wasn't really a match so much as a fight. And it was one hell of a fight too. I love going back and watching that match to this day. It gets heavily over looked by the Cell and Casket Match between these two. And I guess you could add the WM match as well now. But their match at Ground Zero started it all. Gets my vote.

As a heel, gotta go with Hell in a Cell at Badd Blood. Shawn really was in his full prime in 95-97, the bulk of which he spent as a face.

The main event/DX heel era only lasted about 6 months. You take out the RR casket match and HIAC, that leaves few choices. Ground Zero w/ Taker and his European Title win over Bulldog come to mind. Both of those had major heat.
Taking into account all of HBK's heel runs, his I-C matches with Marty always stand out in my mind. His Survivor Series '92 match with Bret HArt was solid too.

Bret vs. Shawn from Survivor Series 1992 was pretty damn good as well, as antivenom said.

I really enjoyed HBK vs. Owen Hart from the last RAW of 1997 in the Nassau Coliseum, Triple H ended the match by nailing Owen with one of his crutches, but up untill that point the match was awesome, Also HBK vs. Ken Shamrock from Dgeneration X In Your House was pretty good from what I remember.
