Apparently WWE is holding a fan axxess event at Summerslam, perhaps that is where we will learn about this game. I knew it wouldn't be on the actual event. They might just play a recap video on SummerSlam about it.

I read that wwe has setup some contest for people to wina trip to summerslam and some axxess thing before it. Im guessing that it will probably have something to do with it given that axxess events dont happen before summerslam (im not 100% sure on this as i dont live in the US but by how the article was written i guess this is the case).

I think holding it at Axxess would be better then taking 5-10 minutes off the pay per view to talk about it.

If we have to wait this long for anything, it must be pretty good this year. The thing that annoys me about recent games is the graphics. They need to update with the rest of the fighting games. In WWE games, it feels like a video game, nothing more. Every thing looks...well, animated. Look at UFC, Fight Night, TNA. It looks like you are watching UFC, Boxing, iMPACT! on Spike. In WWE games, it looks like you are watching a WWE video game.

I do hope they tell us some info soon, but i can wait..
Also going back to "Gm mode"... If it comes back i hope they improve it by adding and changing things to what people want.
- Cut Scenes, this would be for promos, backstage segments and attacks etc. but as it might get repetitive there should be different versions of certain cut scenes.
- Tittle Match's, as people said you try to have someone like Kane go for the tittle but it comes up with "not in contention". So you should be able to hold tournaments and No1 contender match's. Or should just be able to select from your roster who you want the contender to be.
- Storylines/Rivalries. The choice of storylines weren't very good Imo and they should be more simple ones that just happen. No "Kidnaping's" etc. The rivalries should also feature cutscenses
- Ratings should be for having the show full of extreme match's but on who's in the match, how long it lasted etc. Also other shows should have more realistic match's and not Kelly Kelly vs great Khalil & umaga every week.
and so forth...
I would also like to see more RTWM's, and for thosse who are not included in it should be in a season type mode. But with a few different storylines dependding on who you play, such as
- Super HeavyWeight - World tittle story, "batlle of the titans"
- HeavyWeight - World tittle story
- Mid-carder - Us/Intercontental/tag team tittle storys
- Crusierwight - ECW tittle story
- Diva - womens/diva tittle storys
And finnaly i would like them to bring back challenge mode, this helps unlock superstars/arenas/movesets ect and completing all unlocks an achievment(s). By challenge mode i mean such as in SVR, SVR06 and SVR07 where you have to win a certain match or do a certain thing in a match.

I say the reason we have to wait so long for info is because they finally realized that it's the same old crapevery year and have nothing good to show.

I say the reason we have to wait so long for info is because they finally realized that it's the same old poop every year and have nothing good to show. Honestly, I've sort of been fearing the same. The less time they show what they have, the less time fans will have to hear about it and opt not the buy it. Also that's less time to announce new stuff, which would make it seem like more in such a short span of time.

I really wish they did fix the graphics though, you were spot on, TNA looked damn good even during the match. The fans looked far better, they had circling lights, etc. WWE needs to make it look different and for once, just once PLEASE make the title belts the right size! Its sooo bad when you see a title belt that looks minature and one thats enormous.

Well when i guess you have to keep making port versions for older consoles then you get held back. That's just a PR excuse they've been giving for a couple years. I'd bet money on them being too lazy to improve graphics. It's like, as far as programming goes, they know what they know and that's enough for them. The wrong title belt sizing is a prime example of this. I'm no developer, but how hard can changing belt size be? It's not like they pay attention to possible clipping issues. Other PR excuses include "We have more on-screen than other games...". They also randomly throw out the "What other game has three announce teams?" question to avoid answering other questions.

Or maybe they have other games to make? THQ and Yuke's aren't the "We only make WWE games" company.

It's not all one team that makes the games though, THQ/Yukes have different teams that make different games, like the UFC game was made by another group at THQ/Yukes.

With it being the 3rd year on the DS I hope they have learned to leave the ing touch screen out of the game. But hey we all know they probably wont SR 09 had all the makings of a decent game on the DS if not for the stupid controls. What pisses me off is there 6 buttons on the machine the same as the damn psp. To be fair both 08 and 09 I didn't pay for so I can't bitch to much but the games still sucked ass. Touch screen should be used for CAW and navagating menus I don't even want some bullcrapmini game during matches that will no doubt take half a hour to get over with only for the cpu to start it back up again.

I think its a combination of that and what i said. Catering to different gen consoles and trying not favour one are part of the reason (as is the lack of motivation by THQ) why we dont have improved graphics. Also, the fact that the game comes out yearly so the time able to be spent on making it good is not sufficient.

Kaneisdaman, I would like to know how the PS2 is holding back the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. They won't stop making PS2 until sales decrease, it was the biggest selling version last year. How can they improve the graphics without making it look fake? I have a Xbox 360 on a normal non-HD tv and the graphics are perfect.

The PS2 is holding it back by the amount of features, Superstars, etc. that they put in the game. They want to keep the game equal across platforms and a 360/PS3 game can obviously hold more than a PS2 game. Also the graphics have so much room to improve.

I suppose that is fair, you can only hope the PS2 version doesn't sell this year so they don't make it. Well they look great to me. The A.I is something they should focus on more than graphics. I hate the moments where the computer just stands there and does nothing.
