Was able to see this one today. God I loved it... It was rated PG13 yet still had the ability to scare the crap out of you and have those awesome moments with the slime/blood and such.

Damn judging by the reviews this movie looks like it brought back the oldschool horror I used to love. How many years must we wait for another great horror movie?

5 or so, maybe sooner if Sam and Ivan can cook something up once he is done with Spidey 4.

I love how they had the old universal beginning and "Come to Universal theme parks" ending like the old Evil Dead movies did when they were in theatres!

I've read that its a return to Evil Dead form by Sam Raimi, and that's from the only film reviewer I trust. The only film reviewer I trust, sadly, hasn't written a review in 7 years...but archives of his old reviews are still available. www.brunching.com/selfmade-namearchive.htmlI really like Devin Faraci at CHUD.com. His stuff is very intelligently written and usually spot on with my own opinions. I saw the movie last night and really enjoyed it. It had a very "classic" feel to it. However, some of the heavier CGI parts looked really bad, and it took away from the movie a little bit. My favorite part was the anvil to the head. Honestly, who keeps an anvil just hanging up like that in their basement? So funny.

I just got back from seeing the film. It was hilarious AND scary, which made for an awesome movie. I'd definitely recommend it.

I saw this a few hours ago, scared the bejesus out of me although I was disappointed that there was no Bruce Campbell cameo.
