When I was 8 years old and in the United Center watching it, I LOVED it.
When I was (am) 22 years old and watched it a few months ago...didn't hold up. Bad match.
I do love the light shining out of Paul Bearer's urn though and 'Taker coming out. One of my favorite moments.

Yeah, as imposters go, Brian Lee did the best job you could possibly expect for someone trying to imitate a unique wrestler like The Undertaker. As for the match, I didn't like it much. That storyline just went on for WAY too long, starting with the whole feud with Yokozuna, then the RR 94 casket match, then weeks and weeks of "Undertaker sightings," to the whole Million Dollar Man/Fake Undertaker... and as if fans weren't totally worn out on the whole thing yet, THEN they started the Leslie Nielsen hunt for the Undertaker, which took the whole thing to a ridiculous extreme. The match itself wasn't great, and was too long. The visual of the two Takers coming face to face was cool for about 30 seconds though.

First match I ever watched... at the time, great! Now, it obviously hasnt aged good over time. But for what it was, it was excellent!

The build-up was good but the execution was horrendous. After watching Undertaker work solid matches with Yokozuna in which he showed his athleticism, it was hard to watch him revert back to his 1991 self. The match was basically two guys no-selling, moving like statues, and showing no emotion. After the Bret-Owen cage match, this match needed to be special to hold it's value as the main event but it KILLED the crowd.
At least WWF learned their lesson and didn't try to milk the feud. Dibiase blew off his "Taker" the next week and ended the suffering.

this was some serious building by Vinnie and it worked at the time.I was 14 heading into this Summerslam and ALL I wanted to see was Undertaker.........ut even at 14 I found the match boring.
less said about it now the better.........terrible match.and yeah Brian Lee did an amazing job impersonating the Taker

I still think its one of the most unique storylines ever created. And I still enjoy the story itself. The match is alright, nothing special but I think it turned out exactly how it should have. Two Undertakers squaring off...not sure what else they could have done match-wise. I think what hurt it was the fact that it was the Main Event...which it shouldn't have been. But I guess they wanted to close on a positive note. Closing on Bret Hart getting beat up isn't a way they would have closed back in those days at least.
The whole thing gets a lot of negative response these days. But I still enjoyed it overall.

I liked the story and the match was ok, def nothing spectacular but I don't think you could expect a ton, Lee wasn't exactly a main event performer.

the intro/lead up to the match was way more entertaining than the match itself.
