According to numerous sources, Sting plans on making this his final year in TNA — and presumably, professional wrestling. Since his return to the company in 2006, the multi-time world champion has directed his career on a year-to-year basis, hence the one-year contract agreements year after year. He has been telling people that this year's Bound for Glory pay-per-view will be it for him in TNA. His contract with the organization is once again set to expire shortly before the end of the year. I'd rather he just become more of a "non-wrestler" as it were, making one or two apperances a year for a big PPV as opposed to leaving all together. Because there's really no such thing as "retirement" in wrestling and I'd be willing to bet he'll wrestle again eventually.

Who didn't see this one coming? I guess it's cool that Sting will be finishing up his career in TNA.

Sting's barley even lost since coming to TNA even when he did all he did was put over guys who didn't need a rub. It'll be no diffrent then the past few years he's been in TNA.

I think TNA really dropped the ball in their advertising/promoting/marketing. Kevin Nash had once noted how people would come up to him in the airport and ask if he still wrestled, showing they were unaware of the company's existance. I think if more people (casual or even hardcore fans of the 90's) knew Sting was in TNA they'd give Impact a look.

Great news, hopefully he doesn't win the world title at Bound For Glory again.
He should just have a nice retirement match that isn't for any titles.
