I have a list of favorites, and it's hard to pinpoint just one. But the list includes:
Ric Flair (The greatest wrestler of all time, IMHO. Talented in the ring, can talk on the mic, and is almost everything a professional wrestler should be!)
Sting (One of the most charismatic wrestlers I've ever seen, and very entertaining!)
Shawn Micheals (Even as a WCW loyalist in the Monday Night Wars, you can't deny HBK. Like Flair, he's everything a pro wrestler should be, and in my top.)
Raven (The most copied gimmick of all time, Raven's a genius, and that he never got a chance to be "THE MAN" in any company except ECW is a travesty.)
Shane Douglas (I promise, I'm not a huge ECW mark, but I think Douglas gets a bad rap from people. He's solid in the ring, and gold on the mic.)
Owen Hart (Again, I was a WCW loyalist, but HBK and Owen Hart were enough to make me see what was going on over on RAW. Owen was one of those people who's mere presence in the midcard made your midcard credible, and to me at least, he's the first person I think of when I look at the classic Intercontinental Title. Even though he didn't hold it all that long, he made that belt his, and I think he represents what that title used to be all about.)
Arn Anderson (Ditto for Arn, to an extent. He gave instant credibility to the midcard. Like Owen, he could believably work a main event and pin a star like Hulk Hogan, or he could be upset by the likes of Prince Iaukea, and it still made since. Arn is probably THE single most underrated wrestler of all time, and he's in my top 8.)
Christopher Daniels (Whether he's in a mask as Curry Man, giving an interview as Daniels, or in the ring, Christopher Daniels is one of the best pro wrestlers out there today. He's a bit old to get a main event push in TNA, so I'm not one of the masses clamoring for his title run, but I'd still mark out like a little schoolgirl if it happened.)
And so there are the main eight. Ric Flair, Sting, Shawn Micheals, Raven, Shane Douglas, Owen Hart, Arn Anderson, and Christopher Daniels. The eight wrestlers who most make me pay attention when I'm watching Raw/Nitro/Impact/Classics/PPVs/etc....
Other wrestlers I LIKE, but that aren't favorites yet are CM Punk, William Regal, Samoa Joe, Petey Williams, James Storm, Jeff Jarrett, John Morrison, Jeff Hardy, Tully Blanchard, Dusty Rhodes, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Konnan, Chris Jericho, Eddie Gurrerro, Diamond Dallas Page, Chris Benoit (judging from his in-ring exploits only), Alex Wright, Steve Austin, Jushin Thunder Liger, Rey Mysterio Jr., and a pretty wide host of others.
