There could be serious money in an angle with Punk and Jeff Hardy where Punk takes the " I'm better than you because I'm drug free and you're not! " stance. not sure if WWE will go down the drug free = bad guy route in the PG era  |

Yeah after reading the results he seems tweener-ish. Plus if you read the dark match, Hardy hit the twist of fate on Punk off-air, so maybe their testing the waters.

At the end of the taping (which is the part that counts), he attacked Hardy and Edge, which does not make him heel, just a guy who wants to keep his title. It seems a little too close to the Swagger/Christian/Dreamer angle... But whatever, I'm sure it will be different enough. |

I was never a big fan of Punk, even though I think he is a great wrestler, I just never became a Punk fanatic... but him turning bad will be a huge boost. Only bad people move up in the WWE. examples:
-Undertaker was supposed to be bad
-Cena was supposed to be a bad superstar
-Chris Jericho became WH Champ when he went heel
-HHH's career took off in the Attitude Era when he was the villain w/ Mcmahon
-Batista turned on HHH and became big
-Jeff Hardy went more emo (no offense) than normal and his career went up (I would consider that the villain part of his career... so far)
-Matt Hardy has gotten some attention now that he is is on the "Dark Side"
Shawn is the only exception
