I got a lot of the figures as a kid. Starting when the LJN's first came out. I used to have all the LJN (except kamala) and Hasbro (except 1-2-3 Kid). i sold them in 2001 for $1200 (none were MOC)
I still have the hulk hogan red attire mail away and a few loose hasbro's and Ljn in my basement but coming to this site has really taken me back a few years and I can remember these figures now on ebay on the store shelf when I got them.

I've been buying wrestling figures forever sincethe LJNs and the old WCW figures who didn't move and I had a few hasbros and a few of those rubber figures.
But the first time I decided to buy a figure for collectors sake was in 1998 when I was 14yrs old.

I started when my parents got me five or six LJNs for my 3rd birthday, because at the time I was obsessed over the Hulk Hogan cartoon. All in all, I had like 10 LJNs, and a bunch of the thumb wrestlers and bendies. Then I eventually got about 65 Hasbros and most of the stuff of the "attitude era" up until 2001, when I quit collecting. Then about a year ago I got back into collecting and now I am hooked for good.

I started collecting figures back in the early 90's. Either late 1990 or early 1991. My first 2 figures were Hasbros of Andre & Jake. My mom picked them up for me with the ring when I was sick. Still remember it to this day. From there I've been collecting ever since. I just recently started reforming my Hasbro collection though. Sold off most of my collection from when I was younger at rummage sales and such. Oh how I wish I would have kept them. Would be saving me a bit of money right now since I had to rebuy alot of them.

around 1990, when I got Hasbro Hulk Hogan #1, and a bunch of hand me down LJNs. I more or less stopped collecting in 2007. Now I pick up the odd Hasbro whenever I get a chance, still trying to rebuild my collection from when I was a kid that I foolishly gave away in 2003.

About 1991-92 for me too i reckon, as a kid. Had nearly all the Hasbros other than the green series and use to play with them non stop. The only 4 i actually remember un wrapping though are Earthquake,Typhoon,Sgt Slaughter and Ultimate Warrior #3 Still got them all in the loft somewhere. Then around 18 Months ago, i suddenly starting collecting them again MOC, and now have over 200 stacked up, and I'm not un wrapping these . Great fun.

Started collecting in 1990 when I got the whole first series for Christmas as a kid. I collected them religously and my parents would call stores all over just to get me the new figures out. I probably got about 70 of the figures as a kid. Then I bought some off of friends and had the entire green card series given to me. When I got on ebay I was able to complete my set.. as well as the LJN set. From then on there wasn't much. I collected Jakks for a while and then got annoyed how there was 7 of every figure and the same ones came out in consecutive series so I quit around series 8 and gave them all away. I focused more on getting rare variations and error/prototypes of LJN/hasbro. I got out of it for a while and was going to pack them all up and put them away a few months ago but then came on here and I feel myself getting back into it again. I might start the hasbros MOC sometime...

summer of 90.my auntie Anna came home on her hols from the U.S.A. and brought me Hasbro series 1-Hogan,Warrior,Savage,Ax,Smash,Rude and Jake The Snake
been collecting ever since on and off.was kinda pissed when Hasbro stopped doing the WWF figs........I was hotly anticipating Diesel,Men On A Mission,Owen Hart and others.
of course that was only guesswork buit those were who I wanted...and then the final series hardly showed here at all!!!

I have been buying figures since 1984/1985. My 1st figure was a Hulk Hogan LJN in the yellow tights. Later on I got a Macho man and Corp Kir after they came out from ljn. I never really got into the AWA figures. I did buy the Remco Rocky figures with Clubber (Mr. T) Rocky, T-Lips (Hogan). From what everyone saids...is that the Hogan Remco Rocky figure is the 1st wrestling figure?
I got all the LJN figure, then went on to the Hasbro then Justoys.. Not really into the Playmates figures...then on to jakks.. I am not going to get into the mattel figures.. I am going to stop all together..now it's my son's turn.

1995; I was already 20 by then... When hasbros came out I was already too old to get them from my folks and I rather liked to spend my allowance on parties and beer. In 1995 I had my own income and decided to see if my local toystore still had these little wonders, the owner had to search for them but came back with the ring and a good part of series 1 (only missing Hogan, Andre and Smash). At that moment I must've looked like a 5-year old in a toystore! I went home with the ring and Jake "The Snake" Roberts (I didn't have enough money with me to buy all), later I bought the rest of series 1 that they had. Had to wait till 1997 to complete series 1; didn't have internet access before.

Got my first WWF LJN figure (Hillbilly Jim) in the mid 1980s. Collected until about the end of the Hasbro line in 1993.
I've got two younger siblings, so my figure collection was justifiably continued.
Got 'too cool' for figures until about 1999, when I started exploring 'the internet' and found several sites devoted to WWF LJN figures. It wasn't until that time that I acquired every single figure I missed as a youngster off eBay.
Approx. 10 years later - I'm more of a 'wrestling figure investor.'
My only regret? Not buying up all those AWA Mat Manias I used to glaze over in my local dept. store.

I started with the first series of LJN figures. I still remember buying Hulk Hogan at a Sears.
