Man, I really hope not, he is one of the best guys they've got, like Umaga and Kennedy. I thought he signed a new contract a while back? Do you just like guys who really aren't that great? He did sign a contract but if someone quits WWE doesn't stop them from leaving. They see almost anyone as replaceable.

are you talking about this dude. or this guy or this guy he looks to be in shape. It's pretty obvious that he's blown up since coming to the WWE. He's gone from the awesome skinny runt Mysterio who blew your ing mind: To fat, lame, douchebag Rey Mysterio:

I really don't get some people.... Has he gotten slower? yea obviously because he's older. Fat? No but he has put on weight. But to say he has been "terrible" and "awful" is ing rediculous and laughable. He consistently puts on good to great matches and often you hear "Rey and whoever had the best match tonight". I really have no idea how some people come up with these opinions, it's like one person will say it and everyone else will follow.

Rey is scheduled for the house shows this weekend though. He wasn't at SD because of his knee, or so says PWInsider.com. PWinsider is saying that they plan to continue the Jericho/Rey storyline.

I just miss the old Mysterio. He has passable matches nowadays, I do disagree with you saying that you often hear people saying that Rey put on MOTN. He's been much better since his latest return that he has been for a few years, but he's still way off.

I honestly can't see this happening...this would be a pretty big loss in my opinion, especially since he's actually a talented wrestler unlike most of their main eventers.
I bet he failed the drug test on Monday and to cover it up just decided to walk out on WWE all together.

www.prowrestling.com/article/news/12732A key piece of evidence in support of rumors that a top World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar quit has been removed from the picture.
Earlier Wednesday, a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that a topic of discussion backstage at RAW this week was the rumor that Rey Mysterio had given his notice to quit WWE. The rumor, though never reported as anything but such, relied on the fact that Mysterio did not work this week's television as evidence of its possible validity.
PWInsider.com, however, reports that Mysterio had already planned to miss this week's tapings to rest his knee (prior to this Sunday's pay-per-view), which suffers from a nagging injury. As of press time, WWE had no intention of abandoning his program with Chris Jericho, with sources believing that Mysterio is indeed staying with the company.
While the Mysterio rumor was a big part of lockerroom discussion Monday, it appears his fans can breathe easily for the time being. Here is a BIG update to this rumor. ^

Wow, figures he'd disappear off the map during the one feud I've cared for him in over two years...
Just leaves room for young high flyers like Bourne, Kidd and Morrison to rise up in his absence.

I don't know why everyone is so lackadaisical about this situation, Rey is still an excellent performer and he's a huge draw to WWE. So this is is a huge loss if its true.
I guess I don't see a significant downfall in Rey. If anything, I find him much more entertaining now than I did during his main event time period, he's where he should be now.

Hopefully this isn't true. I like watching Mysterio in the ring.
