The Ocean Dub voices were great during the Saiyan and Namek saga. But like wine, Funimation got better with age.

I can't stand to watch the Ocean Dub ones. I have to have FUNimation or it's just not the same.

I just found all of my Dragon Ball Z DVDs and VHSs in my closet. I probably spent around $300 worth on these things. I may watch some tomorrow if I have nothing to do.

But the season boxsets have completely redone dialogue which sounds SO much better. Plus, they eliminated Funimation's other huge weakness, their background music, by using the original Japanese soundtrack. So far I have DBZ seasons 1-4 and DBGT 1, I plan to get the rest. Hopefully they do the same with Dragonball because I would totally buy that series too.

They're having a hard time releasing the Dragonball season sets. The first company that distributed the first 13 episodes is nothing giving up the rights to Funimation. Funi isn't giving up though, considering they just signed for the license for a few more years.

Superman would pummel Goku. I always loved this picture The caption is what makes it I'm with everyone else, all this talk makes me want to hunt down some DVDs. I only saw the TV versions so I imagine the unedited DVD versions are great. Man we need some good 6 inch DBZ figures... Something like Marvel Legends or DC Universe Classics

That is not a movie, it's an OVA called Plan to Destroy the Saiyajin. Movie 1 - Before the Z storyline after the original one. Movie 2 - After the Saiyajin battle Movie 3 - After the Saiyajin battle Movie 4 - Before Namek Movie 5 - After Namek before Androids Movie 6 - After Movie 5 Movie 7 - Between Namek & Cell Saga Movie 8 - Between Namek & Cell Saga Movie 9 - After Cell Movie 10 - Before the World Tournament Movie 11 - Right after Buu is released Movie 12 - During the middle of the Buu Saga Movie 13 - After Buu There actually was a new movie, not the Plan to destroy the Saiyajins special... The new movie wasn't good and was only in Japanese. It was just Trunks and Goten trying to beat two guys who were friends of Frieza or something. Then you are referring to "Dragon Ball: Ossu! Kaette Kita Son Gokû to Nakama-tachi!!" which was a Jump series special, not a movie. It wasn't released in USA because it really wouldn't have done anything for the series and was merely a 40th anniversary special.

40th anniversary for Shonen Jump, not Dragonball.

Man, those DVDs are kind pricey, $32 at most stores for the majority of the seasons and eBay isn't being much of a help either
