Samoa Joe VS Takeshi Morishima, ROH Fifth Year Festival, NYC.
A bit of a letdown TBH, but enjoyable in parts.

El Generico VS Joey Ryan, PWG Horror Business, '06.
Great workers, interesting ending, and great to see the crowd involved in the way they were...Chris Bosh is an excellent talent as well...

Samoa Joe VS Takeshi Morishima, ROH Fifth Year Festival, NYC. A bit of a letdown TBH, but enjoyable in parts. i might bring the flatscreen out to the garage and have some fun time to that match tonight. was anything else on the show decent? There was a 'Four Way Fray' with Xavier, Evans, Shingo and Jacobs which wasn't too bad... Delirious VS Pearce was okay too (Delirious was quite over with the fans) Albright VS Whitmer (Tables Are Legal) was pretty awesome, but from a selling standpoint it wasn't that cohesive IMO... The two tag matches (Briscoes VS Cabana/McGuiness & Aries/Strong VS Daniels/Sydal) were good, but nothing great. Hope that helps in some way mate...

Takeshi Morishima VS Austin Aries, ROH 'The Battle Of St Paul'.
Excellent match on a so-so card; Austin hit the trio of moves (kick to the head, brainbuster and 450 splash) like he did to Samoa Joe to win his first ROH World Title, but in the end, Morishima retained, but it was a great match nonetheless.

King of Trios 2009 Night Two - Jigsaw vs El Generico vs Kota Ibushi vs Nick Jackson.
Awesome match, probably my favourite match of the show so far.

Rising Above 2008: McGuinness vs. Danielson/Aries vs. Jacobs/Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Black
Let me start out by saying that I've seen most of the Dragon/Nigel matches. I never thought anything could top the 5 Star match at Unified or the emotion of the match at the 6th Anniversary Show. But somehow, this match had everything. Emotion, incredible mat wrestling, dives, and an incredible finishing sequence. I feel this match is one of the best, if not the best in their ongoing series.
Aries/Jacobs was INSANE. Just a brutal, brutal match. Jacobs bled buckets.
Joe/Black was nothing really special. It seemed like it was just a Samoa Joe return match, which he largely dominated.
Now I'm off to watch The American Wolves vs. Tyler Black & Bryan Danielson From Tag Title Classic!

PWG: All Star Weekend 7 (Both nights)
A Very good show all around. For some reason ,I really liked Los Luchas vs The Dynasty. A Very good match. I liked Romero vs Ki, a nice technical match. My favorite matches through the whole weekend was Black/Strong and Hero/Pac. I loved it. Very good 2 nights over all.

Tag Title Classic: The American Wolves vs. Bryan Danielson and Tyler Black This match far surpasses the hype around it. Somebody has got to ask Davey Richards that when he dives through the ropes, how the hell he manages to land in the 4th ing row. . He barely hits Black and land literally in the the 4th row. Some were mad about the ending, even throwing garbage in the ring, but I liked it. I'll go out on a limb and say this is one of the best tag matches in ROH history. It is exactly what the title says: A Tag Title Classic. Its # 2 on my favorite ROH tag team matches list: 1) Aries and Strong vs. The Briscoes at Unified 2) Wolves vs. Dragon/Black at TTC 3) The Briscoes vs. the MCMG's at Return Engagement 4) The Briscoes vs. The MCMG's at Good Times, Great Memories.

I've seen this match several times over the past few years and find something new in it upon each viewing.
AJPW 6/8/90 - Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Mitsuharu Misawa
Absolutely perfect. There's really nothing else you can say about this match that hasn't been said already. I don't think there has been one match from the 2000s yet to capture the importance and greatness of this match. This is the match where Misawa became "The Man". The crowd was behind him the whole time. Everything made sense. Every move made sense. Every move was done at the right time. The crowd ate it up. Every single moment of that match build up to the next. These two were the absolute best at that.
*****
Here's the match for those who haven't seen it. You MUST see this match if you haven't.

Getting back into idny stuff I just watched:
Danielson vs Necro - Giant Sized Annual #4
Nigel vs KENTA - 7th Year Anny
Danielson vs Marifuji - A New Level
I have the dvd's I just wanted to watch those, I'll re-watch the whole thing from start to finish though. I wanna see when Ibushi was in ROH too.

Nigel McGuiness VS BJ Whitmer, ROH Live In Osaka, July '07.
Very fun match, great timing and good workrate from Nigel (who'd just lost to Takeshi Morishima the night before in Tokyo) BJ; so-so.

Chris Hero w/Sweet N Sour Inc. VS Bryan Danielson, ROH Undeniable '07.
Excellent match featuring two faves of mine, and great to see AmDrag back up in such a cool way after being assaulted by Morishima at Manhattan Mayhem II prior.
