It seems as though when people post stories of their TRU experiences they are always bad ones. Rude and unhelpful employees or fellow customers, but today I actually had a good experience with one that I wanted to share to prove that there can be kind people in these stores.
I went in looking to pick up the RSR Cell, and when I got there they only had 3 out, and all 3 had the boxes destroyed or just plain ripped open. I found an employee and asked her if they could check if they had any in the back that were in better condition. After checking she said that unfortunately those were the only 3 out. There happened to be another employee standing there by her and when I asked if it would be ok to check them to make sure all the parts were there the guy didn't hesitate to say "Sure, I'll even help you, let's go."
We went over to the video game counter and pulled one of them out of the box and checked it out part by part with the checklist on the back of the box to make sure everything was there. Turns out that the turnbuckles and posts were not there. This guy just goes "Wait here..." and runs off to the WWE section and comes back with a set from one of the other boxes. With that everything was there so he packed it all up, re-taped the box for me, and I paid and left.
I thought is was very cool that this guy went above and beyond what he probably needed to just to make sure that I was satisfied and that everything was there.
Like I said, for once, a good TRU experience.

Nice to hear everyone doesn't have bad experiences shopping.
Some employees care about the customers they essentially work for (it is a position where you are working for the consumer after all)......unfortunately most don't.

And look at it from this guy's point of view.. He got to stand around for what, 15-20 minutes, basicly doing nothing and sorting toy parts. A lazy day of work makes for a customer well satisfied
People don't get a job at Toys R Us for no reason, they obviously like toys or have a reason to want to be at those stores. Don't know why everyone can't be so helpful.

I've actually never once had a bad experience shopping at TRU. Considering I've been to 2 different TRUs countless times over the last 2 years thats pretty good IMO.
I find that in retail as long as you treat the employees with respect, they will usually reciprocate that. Not to mention if you're giving them $100 in business they are going to want to make sure you're satisfied more than if you were buying say a Micro Aggression pack

Yeah you either get who can't be more helpful and nicer but other times you get rude and unhelpful employees.

You see, it's nice people like this that make you go to stores. A friendly face makes it all worthwhile.

That's a great story! It's nice to know that thier are some people working in retail that actually strive in the customer service area. I don't get that a lot around where I live.

Good to hear you had a positive experience, usually it's just a case of them not caring enough to help in that way.

That means, the next person that buys the RSR, is not gonna have the Posts or Turnbuckles

That means, the next person that buys the RSR, is not gonna have the Posts or Turnbuckles They should set that box aside in the store room or something and not sell it. That's it.
