seanzor to the rescue! Haha The list of names that people had no idea of and people who did claimed "they'll never get a real shot" could go on and on: Samoe Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Evan Bourne, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, etc. It's all a matter of being given the opportunity. Will guys like the Young Bucks immediately draw rating for TNA? Probably not, but when people hear about how great they are... people will tune in. How did TNA get where they are today? Showcasing the X-Division, which at the time... were the best talents in the company. TNA isn't completely doing that right now. If they cleaned out the washed up talents, or the ones that can't get over... no matter what they do and sign some up-coming young talents... TNA would be a much better program to watch. Who knows, maybe it'd draw back some older TNA fans, that gave up after TNA focused more on the "names" than the talents. Let goBG James Booker T Brother Ray ( make it a storyline ) Brother Devon ( make it a storyline ) Jeff Jarrett ( not let go, but time to shorten the schedule ) Jenna Morasca Jesse Neal Kevin Nash ( time to retire ) Kip James Matt Morgan ( maybe ) Mick Foley Rhaka Khan Rhino Scott Steiner Sharmell Sting ( time to retire ) This would clear up 16 roster spots. Imagine the names TNA could maybe pick-up, or even just sign. ROH has snagged up quite a few talents, but who knows... with ROH not exactly shining right now, maybe TNA can steal a few from ROH? But were gonna go realistic here: Pick-up / Bring backArik Cannon Brian Kendrick Elijah Burke Joey Matthews Kenny Doane Matt Bentley Matt Jackson Mr. Kennedy Nick Jackson Paul London Petey Williams Player Uno Player Dos Shannon Moore Umaga Maybe not those exact names, but guys that aren't signed by ROH or the WWE. And if they are, it'd be realistic if they'd leave that promotion, for a chance at another. Needs more American Wolves Think they'd leave ROH, for a shot at TNA? I was gonna put Richards & Edwards instead of the Super Smash Bros., but they are one of the ones signed by ROH. - Triple S

Monte Brown couldn't make it on the smallest, lowest rated show the "E" had. What makes you think him coming back to TNA would bring the fans?

You really think Matt Morgan, Booker T and Trevor Murdoch "brought the fans"? Honestly, TNA is still making the mistake on putting money on these WWE rejects. Booker T: He's lucky Sting, Nash and Angle are carrying him in this Main Event Mafia storyline. Nash is only doing it with his mic skills, though. Matt Morgan: I can't say I hate him, or that he's useless... but what has he been bringing/is he going to bring to the table? Theres a reason the WWE released him... Jethro Holiday: I really hope he's being paid by appearance. If not, TNA is wasting even more money. - Triple S

You aren't getting it! First of all...The X-division wasn't what brought the fans. It was the fact that it was anything but the WWE. Second..You need names to get fans, and a bunch of nobodies doesnt bring fans. Third...I will say it again; people don't watch wrestling for the actual wrestling anymore. Most people could actually care less. They tune in for the storyline, to see whats going to happen next, and who may show up next. That's why they call it the "Male Soap-Opera".

In regards to the Alpha Male...TNA dropped the ball. They built him up properly & then nonsensically jobbed him out. On ECW, he was also used properly & fit perfectly into the new breed vs. originals storyline. It's not that he didn't "make it." Family issues caused a parting of the ways. I also do not think bringing him back would equate to an increase fan base.

Ask anybody, even people that work/worked for TNA, the X-Division is what got TNA where they are today. Guys like AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Petey Williams, Low Ki, Chris Sabin, Michael Shane, Frankie Kazarian, etc.
No, MAINSTREAM fans just wanna see big names. Thats why ROH is getting bigger and other independent promotions ( PWG, CHIKARA, etc. ) are getting more publicity in the wrestling world. Most wrestling fans still wanna see good wrestling, over big name vs. big name. Hence the reason why SmackDown! is viewed as the better show. It showcases the likes of CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Edge, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio and John Morrison. While RAW is crapped on because it showcases the likes of Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, John Cena, Big Show and Shawn Michaels. Notice a difference between the two? SmackDown! is making names that were in the mid-card 2-3 years ago, while RAW is still shoving the same people down our throats. WWE is finally pushing the younger, better talent and the fans are responding. Read these boards, how pro-SmackDown! most of the WWE fans are. Those same people wanna see the TRUE talent in TNA shine. Not Sting, Foley, Jarrett, Booker T, etc. They want AJ Styles, Daniels, Joe, Angle, Sabin, Shelley... guys that can put on a good match.
TNA did it once, making Styles, Joe, Daniels and others household names. Which in turn is making TNA a household name. They need to do it again, ween out the older guys. Make Styles, Joe, Daniels and Angle your main eventers ( which is seems they are doing ). Bump up Sabin, Shelley and Lethal to the mid-card, not still low. Then bring in fresh faces and good talent, to slowly build up to be stars.
Guys like Hulk Hogan, Goldberg and Lesnar have nothing to gain from being in TNA. They have all reached the height of the careers. Lesnar doesn't even wanna wrestle anymore, he's making such a killing in the UFC. So, if they do come... they will give minimal effort to entertain us: the fans. Younger guys like the Young Bucks, Cannon, etc. have something to prove. Deep down, every wrestler wants to be a big name... so they bust their ass, to prove to management and the writers that they can be the "top guy" at some point.
Let me ask you this: Do you watch wrestling to see a good match, 2 guys bust their asses to entertain you? Or do you watch it to see 2 big names put on a 99.9% choreographed match, with basic moves?

They've lost that to a degree and it's unfortunate because it's what makes them what they set out to be in a true "wrestling alternative." I do not want to see WCW all over again as much as I may miss it it. It's n...W..over. For the record...I also know who the Young Bucks are too

I still think this is just Hogan saying "Hey Vince, I'll go to TNA if they call me up UNLESS you throw me some more money". It's Hogan people.. anytime he opens his mouth it's about either money, his daugther's newest show/album or his "crack-head" wife.

Jethro Holiday: I really hope he's being paid by appearance. If not, TNA is wasting even more money. - Triple S If done right...Yeah they can. See when these stars were with the WWE; they were big or getting big. I mean Booker was KING BOOKA and as a heel was doing great. He had something great there. They just need to straigten out his character here. I mean one time he's a THUG, the next he's some kind of African with some shitty accent. Now he's annoying. If they used him right; he'd be big. Matt Morgan had a shitty stuttering character, but he's just doing, and using the character he was told too in the WWE. Now here he has great potential. They need to calm him down abit. He's too enthusiastic. If he wants to make it; they need to calm his character down, and act cool and calm. He needs to be like the next Kevin Nash or something. And now with Jethro Holiday. He was with a great tag team with agreat storyline against the thugs (cant think of name) and all of sudden they just dropped them...Twice; only the WWE way. It isn't Holidays fault. TNA needs to put him with a tag partner (like maybe bring in Cade)that would fit his character. Somewhat like what he had with WWE; since they are trying to build up the tag division. What I am saying is that just because the WWE drops them; doesn't mean they arent big enough to draw fans. It also takes more than the star to draw fans. It also takes a good character and storyline. WWE is known to build up a star and then drop them at their peak; fan wise.

WWE is known for it? Wouldn't say that. They have done is several times, but nowhere near "known for it".
What i'm trying to say is, people don't care about those guys... why? Because they are all mediocre wrestlers that could be replaced by ANYONE. Booker is washed up and needs to work more on his own promotion, rather than being in TNA. He's mediocre in the ring and like you said, he's just getting annoying now. Holiday is the definition of a mediocre wrestler, something the WWE is full of. Morgan screams "Test" to me. A guy that is in great shape ( Test's case: was in great shape, until the roids ), but can't really go. Him vs. Sting as Slammiversary was boring and the only thing that saved it, was watching Sting pull off some impressive moves.
Any chance you could answer my question on the post before this? Please.

Jeff Jarrett once said 'pure wrestling will never be over in the US', but seeing how I'm Australian and know what I like, it showed when I lost interest in TNA...I could care less about Hogan, but that's just me... ...As it pretty much smoothly segues into the answer for this question: A: Two guys busting their asses to entertain me, by virtue of work ethic, workrate, selling, and all-round sound ability.

TNA wouldn't be bringing in "nobodies." They can turn them INTO somebodies, make their own stars instead of relying on WWE's left overs. Look at what ECW did. They built their own stars.... IT HASN'T WORKED WITH THEIR OWN! AND ECW STARS WEREN'T REALLY HOUSEHOLD NAMES TILL WWE BROUGHT THEM TO THE BIG DANCE! IF TNA JUST USES THEIR HOME GROWN TALENT; THEY WILL ALWAYS STAY A SMALL COMPANY!

IT HASN'T WORKED WITH THEIR OWN! AND ECW STARS WEREN'T REALLY HOUSEHOLD NAMES TILL WWE BROUGHT THEM TO THE BIG DANCE! IF TNA JUST USES THEIR HOME GROWN TALENT; THEY WILL ALWAYS STAY A SMALL COMPANY! And TNA has expanded so mightily by using former WWE/WCW/ECW talent? Really? People knew about ECW and it's talent before they came into the WWE. You look back at any old 'Attitude-era' footage you can ALWAYS spot someone wearing an ECW T-shirt. Hell, sometimes "EC-DUB" chants would echo throughout the arena. ECW gave something fans cared about. Paul Heyman booked with such passion, such creativity that it MADE people care what was going on. Paul Heyman recognized the need to BUILD his own stars and that's how ECW survived for as long as it did. ECW saw veterans like Raven, someone who never got over in the WWF. Heyman gave him a microphone and said "here, talk." And when Raven talked, he hypnotized you. You actually believed he wanted to kill Tommy Dreamer. You had guys like Tommy Dreamer who loved this business. They made Dreamer who he is today. They saw guys like Mikey Whipwreck and turned him into a lovable loser. They recognized the need to CHANGE professional wrestling. They brought in some of the best wrestlers this world has ever seen like your Eddie Guerrero's, Chris Benoit's, Dean Malenko's, Chris Jericho's. They saw the excitement of Lucha Libre and brought in the Rey Mysterio's, the Psychosis', the Juvi's. They saw that Hardcore wrestling was something wanted and they built guys like Sandman and Sabu. ECW saw the need to build tag teams and had The Public Enemy, The Dudley Boys, The Eliminators, The Gangstas, The Pitbulls, The Impact Players, Sabu and R.VD.... TNA needs a Shane Douglas...they need someone to SPIT on what professional wrestling has become and VOW to change it completely. They need to force out these old veterans that have been hogging the spotlight for decades. TNA needs to start focusing on building the next Rob Van Dam Tommy Dreamer. They need to shift out the Kevin Nash's and Sting's. It's time for them to start a revolution. They have the resources that ECW could only dream of having. The time is now.

I dont care how old Hogan is; he still draws fans everywhere he goes. Some nobody tag team isn't going to do that. Hell; TNA's own (AJ, Joe, Daniels, Shelley, Sabin...etc) can't get it done. What makes you think another nobody will get it done?? People don't watch wrestling for the actual wrestling anymore. They watch for the storyline, who's gonna do what, and/or who's gonna show up next. There are very different types of wrestling fans. Yes, there are marks who only care about the story lines and want to see Guy A "whup up" on Guy B. Then there are the hardcore fans, the people that buy the front row tickets and expensive collectibles, that demand a good in-ring product to go along with good storytelling. Old Leather Butt would garner some attention from the first group and give TNA a minor boost, initially. Hardcore fans, the big spenders, wouldn't give a spit about Hogan's pathetic persona making another unwarranted comeback. Then after he gave the same interview and same lazy matches over and over, that group's interest would be gone. In the mean time, The Orange Wonder would have jobbed out the entire roster in ways that hurt their credibility. He would leave TNA in the same shambles that he left WCW. If TNA would sign the Red & Yellow facade to turn the heads of a few marks, they could do this by having him make a few special appearances. They wouldn't need to feed Hulk the roster, which is what he would demand, and hinder the company's longevity.
