Yet again he loses on ECW, to a new comer, Tyler Reks of all people.
What does the WWE have against this guy? He's showed promising attributes for many years now, but just can't catch a break. He could be perfect for ECW. Not only is he big and powerful, but he's agile. And that is something you don't get with the Vlads, Ezekiels and countless forces of this world. Guys like them come and go all the time in WWE, and it's always the lack of athletic ability that bites them in the ass.
So why won't WWE properly push Paul Burchill? I'm surprised he's still hired, after the way they've treated him.
What do you guys think?

i dunno , i like Burchill - i think he's good, but they ruined him with the pirate gimmick 2/3 years ago - he is good, maybe he'll become a team with regal on RAW again, hopefully they'll do something with him, or he should join the British InVasion in TNA  |

Well, I don't know really. I guess for some odd reason the WWE have given up on him for no reason at all. I haven't noticed him getting much heel heat, but thats prob because of the fact that he constantly loses. When he re-debuted on RAW last year I thought we had us a new main event waiting to happen. But I guess I was wrong.

I wasnt happy with this tonight. I love the King of Armbars, but Not the fact he went over Burchill. We might be looking at a Burchill Goldy feud after the backstage segment tonight.

Paul Burchill is so overhyped it's unbelievable.
I don't care what he's done elsewhere, the fact he's shown NOTHING in WWE means that he has nothing to show on that level. - Don't give me that "He never gets a chance to show anything" bollocks when he's getting TV time each week; sure he isn't getting 18 minute matches; but if you can't show anything, even a little spark week in and week out - then you're obviously not cut out for WWE.
I hope he gets fired, because he's a huge waste of space.

I would rather see him in TNA. WWE clearly has no future plans for him, which is extremely unfortunate.

I thought when he picked up the Ripper gimmick that he was going to get a push. He needs to become more sadistic win or lose. It's a shame WWE doesn't at least have him as a mid-carder instead of just circling at the bottom.
But Shelton seems to finally be getting a push so I can't complain to much!!

My thoughts are Burchill begins to snap on people backstage- like Goldust or a random ring crew worker...and then Hurricane steps in to save the day when he's destroying them. They kind of hinted at it while Burchill was mocking Helms during their interview...he said 'So this is your mild mannered reporter get-up?' and then once he started ranting on Goldust, I was sure we'd see an appearance then. I'm interested in the fact that they build things up on ECW though, each week it seems like the workers rotate screen time, the storylines don't just fizzle off after half a week, and they keep you guessing. Goldust/Burchill/Shelton/Hurricane competing for a # 1 contender shot would be golden...throw Regal in for any one of those, and you still have an amazing quality match. |

Paul Burchill has done nothing in the wwe tha makes me think he diserves a push, on the mic he never truely looks all that comfortable, and people are saying they should push him as a monster....when he hardly has the size to be called a "monster", id love to be able to enjoy the guy, as a fellow Brit, but if any Englishman should get a push, it should be William Regal.

id like to see him in tna with the british invasion cause in all reality wwe doesnt know how to use their talent. it is the same guys every week. burchill has the potential to be one of the best that this biz has ever seen if wwe would let him. he is good in the ring and on the mic so i cant see why he isn't at least ecw champion.

Because he's one of the most boring men on the roster. He's competent but lacks any attributes that make him an obvious star (except to the idiotic internet sheep). He's too small to be a monster, he's too bland to be anything but a jobber to the stars. He's this generation's Val Venis/Billy Gunn/Hardcore Holly (after their proper runs ended), only with much less gravitas. The only time anyone other than Keller's fellators have cared about Burchill is when he was dressed up like a character from one of the most popular movie franchises of the time.
