It's a fun series overall but I will I lost interest after I saw (no pun intended) the fourth one.

Au contraire! I loved The Departed & TDK. And once again, the Saw movies are continuing to go downhill. And it WAS a deeper movie beyond the gore. The first one wasn't that gory at all and it was the best of the series. Quality of the film (balance with plot and gore) is better than quantity of gore. But if that shallowness keeps you entertained then have a ball. Series is still sucking more and more. I didn't say you didn't like TDK or Departed. If you had actually read what I said I was saying that you're going to say that the Dark Knight and Departed are really deep movies with plots that just really are so overwhelmingly great. When to me they areboth great films with great builds but in terms of plot, very predictable despite the fine acting. Saw 1 was deep? A guy with cancer wants to thwart those who waste their lives and so he decides on people that were around him. From that point on you gradually learn who he turns, who he tries to teach his demented justice to, who actually listens, and what happens to those who cross him and yet he has the ability to outwit them. What is so deep about this plot? Revenge is about as simple a plot as one can write about. Next you'll be saying that Oldboy is a rare gem of a film. Nevermind, I'm obviously not getting through to you that some of us just see what others see as deep as just entertainment. But if you think that Saw 1 and TDK and Departed are right up with their Dickens then um.. you go ahead and think that. spawn_suxx I see no mention of Dickens above. You're getting wrapped up into the whole serious plot issue. When I speak of plot going downhill, I mean in the sense that the movie's premise is getting weaker and more desperate... much like your rebuttals. The fact of the matter is that the series tanks more and more with each subsequent sequel. Entertained or not, it's a shame. Now carry on...

Guy with cancer finds ways to kill people and in some way is trying to teach them to value life. How can a plot like that even go downhill when it's practically the bottom of the hill to begin with. On a side note, if you think my rebuttals are desperate, you should read what you wrote in trying to really convince ppl that Saw the original had a deep plot.

They are ridiculously fascinated by the most basic and uninteresting objects and can be happy for hours on end by something as simple as a box of crackers. It seems as long as a movie has someone mercilessly murdered, a nipple slip, or people acting stupid then that's enough to take your money and your praise. If I had your shallow and tasteless sense of entertainment I too would love every movie in the world out there and do backflips to defend crap films like this. But I don't... and that is why I am critical. But that is also why I can take more out of a film I like than you ever could. Once again... carry on.

If we were talking films like Taxi Driver, or Cry Freedom, or even The American President, then I'd understand why you're trying so hard to convince ppl that there is more to Saw than meets the eye. But damn, you're talking about Saw... SAW!! Forget it, you're just going to keep insulting me while I insult you back and it's just going to keep being intellectually- disabled cause even though I do enjoy a good argument...Saw is just not worth arguing about. Feel free though to post one more time everything you get emotionally and psychologically out of Saw cause really.. it's such got such an intelligently written story...

That kind of grammar radiates intelligence. But either way, you're an asset to the movie companies... see it's people with the toddler frame of mind like you that will keep this franchise going to Saw 49. All they have to do is have blood splatter and that's enough to you. They could resurrect Jigsaw and have Miley Cyrus become the new apprentice but as long as someone is severed in half then your thirst is quenched. And yes, this argument has gotten silly... mainly because it's you. Enjoy your gorefest. And by the way, there's reruns of Jackass on TV lately so I'm sure your 2009 is booked.

lol since you had to go with the whole insulting me by saying I watch Miley Cyrus I guess I will continue this Ok 1. You do understand the whole point of entertainment is to entertain right? 2. Obviously from your lack of understanding the four films I mentioned in this argument were to actually try to get you to discuss something intelligent besides Saw. But what did you do throughout two threads? You defended Lost and the GTA franchise (which by the way put your sn in, put in GTA and your argument for the types of movies you're trying to say I watch is pretty much the same), both of which are hugely marketed franchises towards what? That's right..entertaining you. Not teaching you or putting forth a political message. 3. I will admit, I got "it's" and "such" in grammatically incorrect places. My bad.

You guys seriously have some ridiculous arguments. Of all god damn movie topics, people still care enough to argue the Saw franchise...

And the toddler continues to pout. Be good or Santa won't drop your Jigsaw tricycle down the chimney this year! Anyways, I do applaud the Saw franchise on one thing... and that is their consistency in bringing back the same actors in both major and minor roles. It's ing annoying when they replace a character's portrayer (except when the actor died no choice). So props to Saw on that... but IV & V are still garbage.

I know, I do feel like in some way this day got totally wasted by it. Which I will say I pointed out multiple times. But then he had to say I watched Jackass and Miley Cyrus so...can't just let an insult like that go And the toddler continues to pout. BTW I already have the Jigsaw trikey, it's right up there with my Freddy big wheels. Hoping you see the sarcasm...

The first was a good movie, and the second and third were tolerable. Four sucked and I haven't bothered with five, nor will I see six. This.

This crap series should have ended a long time ago. And total LOL at the Jigsaw's wife. Her involvement is just making it worse.

Dear god you can't let things go.. and you call me a toddler, you're like a toddler sucking on his moms teet trying desperately to try to get someone to back you up. Let it go man... let it go. Also Friday the 13th has 12 films and they are still going and they are basically the same as Saw so.. um.. unless you're going to seriously try to start arguing about that.. let it go.

But Jason X was a travesty. I did enjoy Freddy vs. Jason however. And I could care less about any "backup"... there are more dumbasses out there than anything I so I'm sure you win the battle of support.

Also on a side note, way to try to insult everyone else but be sure to realize you come to the same place as us "dumbass' " so that kinda makes you one too. Just sayin, and if you say it doesn't then ... yeah.

Aside from all the arguing... my main point is the first three were the best and it has tanked since. They're ruining what was once a great thing.
End this at Saw VI so it can somewhat keep some dignity. If this goes to Saw IX they might as well puke out another Mummy flick.
