I bought the VPW2 game cartridge complete with box and everything included (cartridge and manuals are like new, though the box has some wear), along with the Super 64 cartridge adapter/converter, on eBay almost two years ago for a little over $42 shipped.
I've only played it a few times since, but I love it and plan to use it more in between playing the NA titles.
I had a scare with this game recently, I had bought a console version and was using the gameshark to play it, anyways the N64 fell and the game was chipped, I tried to play it but nothing would go on. .. I tried to glue the game back together, tried it no luck. Then I tried to see if it was the gameshark, and it was, so I left with no choice but to modify the cartridge, lo and behold it worked! This game keeps on giving!

I can't help but laugh at myself that I'm so excited over getting a cool Japanese wrestling game with all these major Japanese superstars and legends and what do I do?... I make a bunch of WCW and WWF guys
I just think it's so cool that they have all the moves from Revenge and WM 2000 and I feel obligated to make all these guys, lol. They even look a lot like they're supposed to!
Plus, who doesn't want to see Giant Baba vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Hey I just got the game and I wanted to say thanks. All this information help me out so much updating the game. I know it has been a few years since anyone posted about this game it but helped out big time. Thanks again.

My all time favorite N64 game. It has so much charm. I'd have a smile on my face from ear to ear whenever a no sell suplex lariat sequence happened. Or killing opponents with Vader. Or how AKI nailed Giant Baba's character model. This game gives me the dickens....like Charles.

There is indeed a fully translated English patch available made by my buddy SK Stylez, which includes translations to all the modes most importantly the EDIT mode, all attires and even all the moves are translated fully into English, he went as far as making codes to fix all the wrestlers names (added characters to name bar) and their attires, the patch even works on the N64 Everdrive! Check it out:
You can find the details on his forum VPW2 Dojo or our forum Old Skool Reunion, so go an knock yourself out! There are so many other codes that it will blow your mind! - for all the AKI games: VPW2, No Mercy, Revenge and Check out my WM2000 mod I am working on while you are there too which also uses some of pfrchaos custom made faces for Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan!
Check out some videos of Owen Hart & Ultimate Warrior on my thread here WM2000 Mod
So what are you waiting for! the greatest wrestling game just got even better!
(REALLY SORRY I DUNNO WHY THE PHOTOS ARE NOT WORKING, BUT TRY CLICKING THE LINK AND LOOK AT THE WHOLE ALBUM)

Here to bump this thread...
I have an N64. Trying to get all wrestling games for the system. What do I need on an NA system to play this cart to convert everything to English? Did I read in one of the posts there’s a game shark or something I could snag in addition to the cart on ebay? Would it work with VPW 1?
Bumping this. Next month is going to be the 20 year anniversary of the game. Crazy to think I've been playing this for 19 years (bought the game in 2001 from the infamous buyrite video lol). These days I have two N64 carts but primarily play the game on my rickety laptop. Also if anyone is interested, I can post appearance formulas for Eddy Guerrero/Black Tiger 2, Dynamite Kid, Wild Pegasus/Pegasus Kid.
