As mentioned before as a side project to my Hasbro collecting I also have started to buy WCW Galoob figures. Im slowly adding to this collection and thought id share what I have so far with you..... I find the line a nice side project and very reasonable in price to pick up....

IMO the WCW Galoob line is an often overlooked line. The likeness of most is very good although if I were a kid in the 90s I would have been bothered that have no articulations. They couldn't have played will.
You'll have problems finding some, but most pop up on eBay often and go for cheap. Nice collection.
Question ( to Hasbromaniac or anyone for that matter): why no UK versions of Tom Zenk or Butch Reed?

Galoobs played very well. A kid doesn't need action moves or articulation if he/she has a good enough imagination. Arn ranks among my favorite wrestling figures of all time. You could easily do the spinebuster, DDT, etc. with him, along with the superplex with Windham, powerbomb with Sid, etc.
Not to mention, it was awesome being able to do interpromotional matches. Since Dusty was released around the same time with Hasbro, you could relive the Crockett glory days, and when Flair showed up in the WWF you already had a Flair to challenge Hogan.
One of my favorite pieces is my signed Arn on the original NWA carding. A picture of it should still be on the main page of my blog listed in my sig.

I have a few Galoob books that the lady gave me when I was buying all the prototypes that show the Zenk in alternate color . I actually thought they produced one and I missed it or something .

I always thought a neon green or orange for him would have been great.

Sting is perfect for splashes and gorilla press slams. Luger is great for double headlocks or bulldogs. Pillman is good for high cross body blocks. Ron Simmons was great at should blocks and snap mares. Haha, they all had their signature moves based on their poses.

I have to find the catalogs its in one of the 3 books I have . If I remember correctly its just the Zenk though . I just found the book and I totally forgot the other jems. Sting in white and gray , Flair in the Windham blue tights and dark blue boots yellow laces, Zenk in the orange (more the Pillman orange), UK Rick Steiner in yellow and Luger also in the Windham blue. Again they love that 4 color pallet they had.

Not sure why Zenk and Reed never were repainted. If meatybat doesn't have a chance to post pics, I think that I may still have them.

I am actually glad that they didn't make all them in alternate outfits. I have enough trouble getting Dustin, Big Josh, and Barry Windham in Blue haha

Yeah a friend of mine said he remembers seeing a Zenk in red-ish colour in a picture. I have pictures in my folder of some 6 inch galoobs with joints but these were never released and Im trying to remember if the Zenk was in red there...

I used to LOVE Galoobs. Prior to CS, I collected ALL of the Galoobs, then sold them all. The most difficult to find was the Barry Windham in blue and Brian Pillman in blue.
Like the LJN, their primary downfall was that the paint job sucked!!! To find rare ones in great condition was a challenge.
I would LOVE to see the prototypes of these figures. I loved them. When Jakks loses the license, I might revert back to collecting these again.

i used to love the galoobs as well. i had all of them except big josh, dustin rhodes, el egante, and the freebirds. i used to play with them and my hasbro's when i was younger. i sold all of them a few years ago as one lot. the only thing i hated was that doom had sweatpants on. anyone have any idea why they were made like that?
