Simple question. I was doing my wikipedia check on Brutus Magnus (wanted to know real name) and remembered he and Doug Williams beat Team 3D for the IWGP Tag Belts (didn't see the original broadcast or catch the replay) and it said in its history the match wasn't officially sanctioned therefore, Team 3D are still considered champions. Any more info on this? Now it's obvious the change was for storyline purposes but why would they advertise a title match, if it doesn't technically count anyway? TNA for you I guess  |

NJPW hasn't said weather they are or aren't the official tag champions.

Probably just for the world elite angle. so they have japanese tag title belts

Why would you rely on Wikipedia for any information? I'm pretty sure NJPW is counting the British Invasion's reign as official. If they aren't going to, then that's just flat-out stupid. Why have them win the straps in the first place, anyways?

The Guns lost the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship on July 5th to the team of Prince Devitt & Ryusuke Taguchi

Why have them win the straps in the first place, anyways? Remeber when Liger lost his IWGP Jr. Title in WCW to Juvi?? NJPW did not recognize it. Thats why Liger had to win it back the next week but Juvi was hurt so WCW let Psicosis drop the belt back to Liger. but the whole thing was never recognized |
