Radio ads playing in LA are teasing the retirement of a legend at the TNA Bound For Glory PPV in October. Considering that Sting lives in California, it will likely be him.
It is not known if they will do a "win or retire" scenario or if he will announce an official retirement match.

And of course it'll be in the main event with him walking out TNA Champion, that's mandatory for Bound for Glory.

I love sting, but it's time. Honestly TNA could play this out well with the upcoming triple threat match, Sting could win the title, then they could push AJ, have him beat Angle then set up AJ vs Sting at BFG to complete this whole "respect" storyline that's been the foundation of the formation of the MEM and really started with aj, joe, sting. AJ goes over sting, sting and AJ shake hands in the ring..sting leaves TNA...AJ new world champion.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, we'll probably get:
Sting vs BG james in a my little pony on a pole match with the loser retirng. and the world title will be Angle vs a bottle of Stacker 2...YEAAAAAH TNA!

About ing time! But isn't this rumoured every year? He says he's going to retire, to get a title shot, then he wins and sticks around for another reverse ddt filled year. And the people above saying the AJ thing, thats good, although the match would probably be bad. And the real ending would be: OH NO REVERSE DDT, AJ STYLES IS KO'D!!!!!!!! STING CHAMPION AGAIN!!!! AND WHAT!? HE'S SIGNED ANOTHER CONTRACT!?? OHH WOOOO! STIZING IN THE HIZZAHHH!

Heard it in 2006.. 2007..& 2008. I'll wait and see if Sting actually jobs at BFG for once in his TNA stint before I throw a party.

Whats with all the Sting hate? Unless your name is Shawn Michaels, once you get old, balding and having to change your in ring work....They want you as far away from TV as possible....but if you're HBK...You still got it cause you "change the way you wrestler to adapt to your abilities"

Sting isn't balding though from what I can see, he just sweeps his hair back, it looks better that way for this stage of his life. I will be really ing gutted the day he does, but I have to resign to it happening as wrestlers can't carry on forever, he'll never be the embarassment Flair has become anyway. Sting has had an incredible career, one that most TNA guys will never hold a candle to, and when it comes to the time Sting hands 'em up, he'll be forever remembered by me and other fans alike. God Bless Sting.

I dont see why people find Flair to be an embarassment, he gave back to the business. He's old school. He tried to give a ton of guys the rub to get them over...some worked (orton, Batista etc) and some it didnt (Carlito, Shelton). I respect Flair more for trying to give back to the younger guys then just hanging them up and not putting anybody over like Hogan did.

The way most on here think about the GOAT baffles me.

Hopefully in time to sign with WWE and get into a program for Wrestlemania then have a real retirement.
