SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith has been carted to the locker room after a collision at practice.
Smith immediately grabbed his right arm, but the type of injury wasn't immediately clear.
The four-time Pro Bowl receiver fell to the turf after getting tangled with cornerback Chris Gamble early in Monday evening's workout. He winced, took off his helmet and kicked it before walking to a nearby tent. He was then taken inside.
Smith had 78 catches for 1,421 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Man, if the Panthers lose Smith, their receiving corps drops to one of the leagues worst. I hope Smith gets better as a football fan, but Macaque, you better hope this isn't serious. This could be a season breaking injury for the Panthers.

and good news for my fantasy football team! and bad news for your Saints. Wonder where ya been Jimmy. Anyways, I really feel like the Preseason should be cut to 2 games and that poop shouldn't happen so early before season. I mean look at all the injuries for every team, it's getting ing crazy. Brady the Saints signed Derrick Brooks. I still don't think their defense is up yet, they need time to get all the new players adjusted and then we'll see. Also in a way the injury to Smith is kinda good because A. He won't play in the preseason and get injured B. Dwayne Jarrett is going to play against starting defenses in the preseason and he could be an X factor for Carolina. |

It's hard to get into football when you're a Phillies fan and they're on top and your favorite football teams (Chiefs and Skins) both suck. Well, the Skins are semi-good, but they're not world champs.
