I have come to the conclusion that Brett Favre is a gold-digger. As Stephen Colbert put it, he holds the NFL record for most incomplete retirements. Not really a goldigger when The Vikes are begging him to comeback, and that same contract has been in place & agreed upon by both parties for months now.

If Ben misses regular season time,
Max Starks = Waiver Wire.
The title reminded me of something.

I still don't get it.
Vick fights dogs and kills/tortures dogs - 2 years. Plax shoots himself - 2 years. Stallworth drives drunk and kills a man - 30 days.

Vick intentionally ran an interstate illegal gambling ring as well, people forget about that aspect of it. Then lied to the federal government about his involvement.
Plaxico discharged an illegal firearm in a public environment. He and an accomplice also tried to hide the evidence. Could have spent less than 30 days in jail if he had accepted the plea originally.
Stallworth was driving while intoxicated over the legal limit, and accidentally hit a man who was also breaking the law by jaywalking in the middle of the street. He stopped immediately, and owned up to his mistake. Honestly, had he not been drinking at all, odds are this still happens.
I honestly have no problem with any of the sentenctes. You have to look at each case individually, as they are all apples and oranges.

He drove intoxicated and killed a man. Manslaughter should be way more then 30 days in jail.

I know it's only pre-season, but who has been the biggest surprise so far?

You have to look at each case individually, as they are all apples and oranges. They are comparable to a certain extent. What Vick did was intentional and heinous which caused the loss of life with INTENT. He lied and tried to cover it up, not to mention the illegal gambling ring that was not just in one state, but in several. He was facing FEDERAL charges. Plax was facing state charges and only harmed himself. If anything Plax should have gotten a lighter sentence. And I am not saying that 2 years is too much for what he did. I am just saying that he should not serve more than Vick. Donte is a little bit different. He did not have intention to kill. Yes, he was stupid. Yes, he broke the law. But like you said, so did the man he killed. Toxicology reports also showed that the victim was intoxicated as well and thats why when Donte was honking the guy didnt get out of the way. The family of the victim pled on behalf of Donte, after reaching a settlement and understanding that the victim was not 100% innocent. In other news, why is Brandon Marshall running scout team plays for Denver? Marshall stated that he has not once practiced with the 1st or even 2nd string Broncos and instead is running Seahawks plays right now for the defense.

I know its only preseason, and Colts preseason on top of that which is normally extra pointless, but Manning looked really good tonight against the Eagles.
Also Ochocinco kicking a PAT in the game vs. NE gave me a good laugh.

Explain to me how Pierce was able to stay out of trouble so easily? Is it because he still plays for the Giants? I bet it's because he still plays for the Giants..
