Well theyre champs for atleast the next 2 weeks No, they're not. They're not the champions - period. In 5 years when you look back at IWGP Tag Team Champions, it will NOT be included. They never held them basically. |

The belts are NOT TNA's and NJPW basically said "No, the title change never happended. 3D are still the champions." They're not the champions, nor will they be because what a "nameplate" says on a show. |

I think you guys are missing LtD's main point.
I think what he is referring to is the fact that TNA has the next few weeks of TV already taped, so for the next couple of weeks, since they can't change it, British Invasion WILL be referred to as the champs on TV. So ON TV they are the champs for the next two weeks, no matter what New Japan says.
Again, for the next two weeks ON TV they are going to be treated as and referred to as the champions.

The IWGP titles should never have been defended on TNA programming. Letting us know that Team #d are the Japan champions, cool. But they shouldnt be defending those titles. I never saw the Guns defending their Jr. Tag titles in TNA...

So the only way for World Elite to officially win them belts is to beat 3D in Japan. Looks like 3D will win them back at Hard Justice IMO The Brits are the champs, they beat 3D for them and they now have the belts so the brits are champs. Technically, no IWGP did not officiate or approve of the match. TNA has no say at who is the IWGP champion |

In an update, New Japan has changed their stance on this. The British Invasion ARE the official IWGP Tag Team Champions. www.njpw.co.jp/histry/tag.htmlThey now list 53rd Champions, which would be the Brits. |

Translation tools, and just knowing that Team 3D were the 52nd IWGP Champs, so obviously listing a 53rd set would be The British Invasion.
