Arn / Flair at Fall Brawl 1995 should have been a world title match. Flair should have lost the title to Arn. Everything in the feud should have been the same, but it should have been a title match.

Arn was in my mind a great utillity guy..he could workj as a power guy,he could work as a fast guy he could work as a submission master...he could take a 15 minet tv title match and often times steal the show with his in ring work...
he also was fantastic behind the mic... id say he could have been a very solid heel world champion during te time flair was gone from wcw... insted of luger going heel and becoming world champ..luger was a awesome champ in my mind and his match with whindam was great..but if it was arn they could off played off how every time luger gets close to the gold a horseman always seems to keep him from it...
plenty of greats out there that could have carried a world title..but i think arn knew he had secured himself i a very good go to guy that they could count on to fill out a card with solid matches... Bobby Eaton is another who was a g8 utillity man...and when they teamed together..they could of been wrestling a broom and i would still pay to see it...lol

Arn was the heart and soul of WCW - agree? If you think about it, WCW started to die a slow death, right after Arn retired.

Arn's one of those guys that didn't really need the strap, and his career probably benefited from never actually being in that race. I am interested in your post. Not that I agree or disagree with you; it is just an interesting statement. Can you explain what you mean?

If someone of his ability were around now, I'd say yes...
but he was around when tons of people deserved the title, but few actually got it. It was this amazing, nearly unreachable pinnacle. And it was great that way.
So as great as he was, and as happy as I am that he won all of th title he did and has the legendary status that he does, I don't see when it ever would have made sense for him to have the world title.

Was Arn known more of as a powerhouse or technical wrestler? He was sort of a mixture of both. Being the "Enforcer" he sure was a powerhouse, but could mat wrestle as well.

Arn had the stigma of always being Flair's sidekick, so having Arn step out of Flair's shadow to become World Champion could have been big, but by the time that Flair and Arn began their brief feud, it was already too late for Arn to be a legitimate World Champion, as evidenced by the lackluster crowd response to their feud.
I think that the best time for Arn and Flair to have feuded over the title was when they wanted to put the title on Garvin, they could have easily given it to Anderson instead and then had Flair regain the title. Another instance is when Arn returned to WCW/NWA after his stint in the WWF.
Arn was a great wrestler, great talker, but IMO he was not World Title material, at least not in the era in which he was in his prime.

I never thought of it - but Arn was never even given the US Title. The World Title, okay - maybe not, but he damn sure should have been US Champ.

As amazing as he was as a single performer, I will forever label him & consider him to be an amazing tag wrestler first and foremost. Arn and Ole, and Arn and Tully were two of the greatest & most believeable tag teams there's ever been. The same way Hawk & Animal & Buh-Buh Ray & D-Von were/are is the same way Arn is. At least to me anyway.
